Nice voice work. Music control. Sound effects are great. Stop motion is cool. Could have used some nicer backgrounds, especially with the one you used twice, once with the attack and once with “get outta here.” Since its a trailer you can change those things and no one will care, plus it will definitely add. You could have probably even changed it AGAIN for the dude with the bat. That way it doesn't feel like the whole movie took place in your front yard.

I appreciate that this is an actual trailer, unlike some of the other ones that are simply a short film with “coming soon” thrown on the end. However, this does feel a bit like a “plug and play” formula. Remove egg, insert broccoli. Remove broccoli insert can'o'beans. No change in the storyline in order to do that. You gave the eggs nothing that made them eggs. Yolk, shells, cooking, cracking. That makes it a bit generic in the end.

The shot i could have loved so much is the final one: “now you did” its SOOO perfect! Alas, you cut it off! NOOO! Careful of that kind of thing.

Finally. Zombies rule. Good call on that. Especially with the kid who looks and sounds exactly like pedro delivering. Sweet.

Ok, well the only thing about this film is that i've seen it before...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2Cfg3swvbc
this movie is basically that one, which i saw a couple of years ago, except at the very end you threw on some trailer stuff. So i guess that just means it wasn't original enough for my taste. I mean, you get eggs, and the first thing you think of is: Fridge, Carton, Cracking, and Frying. So, no big surprises here.

I dig that you went for real time faces, and you did that very well, but it was all deja vu as far as i'm concerned. You just needed to step away from the cliches and you would have been fine. Especially with your technical abilities.

Very 70s. Hit that one on the head. Mustache is funny.

I don't have much to say about this one. It just sorta works for what it is. Could have used some tighter shots at some parts, and better vocal audio, but overall, not bad at all. “Son of a bitch.”

"Hitler's Egg" by Futuresphere Pictures Lmd - Reviewed on October 5th, 2007

Yar! More Nazis! Great minds think alike, no? There's something about Nazis and Eggs that just, FIT. I like the idea. Wasn't too stoked about using only stock footage. But I remember the days when I just wanted to make something but i didn't have a camera, and i would have killed to make something like this, if only i weren't running on 56K. Its still pretty cool. Wasn't there a story about saving hitlers brain?

Ok, a little research and there IS a movie titled: “The Saved Hitlers Brain” sooo now i get where you're coming from! And this is in 3d apparently? Thats just cool...I wish i had those little goggles...nice editing and music. Cool little trailer. Not to mention, i paused the end where it has “Futuresphere” logo and such, and thats a neat little subtle touch. I totally thought that was just left over from the stock you were using, but it's YOU! Cool beans. Down with Nazis.

The opening stuff is incredible! But then, you get into this president thing with terrible sound and bad exposure.

More cuts! Close-ups! Make shit intense! That finger! I want an extreme close-up! Give me an extreme close-up on the presidents tired, worn eyes! Need more realization in the researchers eyes! And for god's sake, what is it with this music?

That guys ears move a lot, thats funny. This fight scene is good. This is what the trailer should have been like from the beginning! You get too into telling a story, instead of getting us excited for it. Poor choice in music though.

I wanted to like this from the beginning...awesome nuclear machine you had, and german bad guys are always funny in my book. but then, i dunno. Not to mention, this doesn't star an egg, it just has one in it. Good job none the less.

Sound is a little weak all around. Music could have been louder. The last shot is a little confusing as to whats going on. Just could have been set up a little better. Good shot compositions though. The foot is great, as well as the hand. I totally don't understand what is up with that egg...is that a gun holster? What the? Again, nothing that makes the eggs eggs...maybe if you just had one shot of eggs getting cooked or something?

"The Egg Trailer" by Blue Smoke Films - Reviewed on October 5th, 2007

oh yeah. 300 freak, right? I didn't realize that was a biography. no, just kidding. i hope. ;)

I liked this one. I honestly laughed the hardest at this over all the others. The hand in toilet bit was just unbearable. Ok, so right there, after he holds it to his face, CHANGE IN MUSIC entirely. Plus, you continue with the story. It takes away from the trailer aspect. You should have had more cuts of random things that happen, a twist, or something. This is just a short film. Not a trailer for an epic. Once you went goofy, the whole thing should have. I can't emphasize changing the music enough. 300 rocked, but it doesn't fit every genre in the world.

I liked this one as a film, but i understand the LW due to lack of being a trailer. Thanks for the laugh though. Real cool.

another solo mission? Hell yeah! I envy your effects. I can't understand your mad scientist. Haha, lots of you. Maybe not so solo after all? Why does “lets go” text show up? heh, “battles will rage” then to the shot gun. Thats fun. More nice effects i envy. Then what looks to be a huge trailer spoiler, followed by more enviable text effects. Cool. Only thing i have to say is that you should have changed up the angles. Too many head to torso shots. But good job.

sucks when you're doing things all by yourself, eh? Especially with the car. Can't open the door, can't frame it nice when you're pulling up to your tripod. But i respect your attempts. We all know exactly what thats like. Or at least, i do.

Heh. Shoes. The chicken thing? I know you said you tried for stock, but man, try harder! Haha. It adds a comedic aspect, but its one that isn't necessary. Plus, from that point on the egg talks too much about the same thing. More shots would have been nice for the trailer. Plus, since its an action trailer, more kick ass music was needed. Nice for a solo mission though!

...............definite lightweight. Although, not completely unbearable. Except for the screaming shite in the beginning. That sucked. Some aspects of this one were better thought out than some of the others, which was cool. The whole eggs running was funny. The godzilla thing made no sense at all. Egg sex scene was glorious. If i couldn't hear you guys giggling at your own jokes in the background, i would have probably enjoyed it a little more. Oh, and if you didn't use your hands.

At least it was a trailer...

"The Egg" by Indy Mogul - Reviewed on October 5th, 2007

ah, indymogul, so glad you decided to join. you should have put a widescreen matte on the opening filmfights thing, cause it looks awesome when you do. :D This one is really beautiful. I'm so jealous of those of you with nice equipment...

i always like your stuff, its very creative and unique. Mustache Montage? Amazing. Steve Nelson: The Movie? Groundbreaking. I just feel this one was a bit of sell-out. TOO much of a parody. I mean, “I wish i knew how to quit you” = “i wish i knew how to cook you”? C'mon guys! You're so much better than that. This was basically taking lines from the original and painfully forcing them to apply to eggs!

However, it works for the masses. For me, this is like one of those movies that you hate that everyone loves and worships...like, oh man, what's that movie...oh yeah! Brokeback Mountain. Even though you totally respect it and know it to be a good film. Heh. I dunno, maybe thats too hard to explain.

I don't mean any offense by any of this, but just know, there are those of us out here who understand your capabilities and won't settle for something like this. In the end, thats a really good compliment. Kinda like Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe with "A Good Year". what the FUCK was that?
