Some great color correction. I love that you modded the filmfights intro. Wonderful shots of the contruction as well. Music seems to work well. Bowing is cool. Good short. HEAVY WEIGHT!

This is one tough cookie. Badass suit. Would have liked to hear some silly sound sting after every 'go ahead make my day.' I see things are escalating! Hummer, oh nooo. Hah, a film set. Nice. That's a cute little clapper, I dig it.

Love those soundtrack pro audio stings.

Haha, good ending joke. Gonna HW this one, while I feel the editing could be sligghttly tighter, and it could use some color correction, it's a funny gag at the end and you've got a couple locations, good attention to detail on the 'movie set' section. I'm sure your next one will show some improvement and blow me outta the water!

Augh! You encoded at a resolution higher than 320x240! It's a stupid thing on the site, I'm sorry, I wish I could get it fixed ... double click the window to view the full thing. I can replace the file for you if you render a smaller rez one no problem.

Some good shots here, good color correction - you've got two great actors here. Great framing on the eyes. The close up on the taller dude seems to shake a bit more than when you're zooming on the chef. Would have made sure to do those both on tripod. Like the SFX on the reverse shot ice cream scooper, wish you would have continued the sound effects through the scooping and plopping as well. Seems a bit lacking during that sequence. Needs those sound effects to keep it as engaging. Ahh -- looks like you added some for the sprinkles and whip cream. Well done :) I don't suggest speeding up shots when you're shooting hand held. Put er on a tripod, or else just use jump cuts would I find cooler and more effective hand held.

Good god that's a lot of ice cream!!! Whip its! Love the slow motion walking away scene. Would have been great to add some flash-jump cuts along with it, showing him dissapearing into the woods or something. Well done, I like to see you put some time into getting the props, good location, great actors, Heavyweight for you!

Just noticed the play on words. Epic.

First off, be careful with those tiny titles! CAn't read the first bit at all. Ah I see, looks like you forgot to zoom when you rendered this out. There should be an option to 'scale' on export in your premiere project (assume you're using Premiere because the encoding problem is a familiar one for me). I like the 2nd shot in the battle with the slow panning around. Color correction to the dark blues seems to work well. Is that some fake red blood you added in there? Hard to tell with the tiny encode! Plopping this one in the Lightweights - some technical problems but I'd like to see you sort them out and come back strong next time!

I also like to see that you guys made the music too -- Liked that a lot!!

Hah, electric razor sound added in is a nice touch. Watch it with the auto focus - you can see the camera gets a little wonky when you go from pure black to light. Maybe you were doing it on purpose, but it looks glitchy. Auto focus isn't always your friend.

Haha, the shot of the tapping feet is good. You should have kept that 'tapping' sound from the start and slowly turned it up as he got closer. Works on a 'comedy' scale a bit better probably the way you have it.

This is a nice little short. I would have loved to see a green screen shot from behind when he opens the door and it's all sunny and nice outside. I think that would have sold it for me. This is a great first entry and I'm really looking forward to seeing more from your group!!! I see you making Heavyweights soon!!

I like the added soda can open SFX. Would probably have been better if you did all the sounds in post so it matched up a bit better. Damn that's a lot of .... yuingling, I like that beer. Good call. The hands moving together are well shot. That's a boozin' badass. I liked this film. Decent enough audio, good angles, quite simple though so I'm on the fence about LW or HW. Will depend on the other entries I think. Setting it for LW right now.

Update: Well, going to move this up to HW -- I think it's quite worthy, very fun.

Haha, right off the bat, love the soundtrack tension sound effects. I wouldn't reccommend using the same one over and over, unless you did that just to be funny. In which case, it's kind of funny. Oooh, I like that you kind of mixed it into that song. Just a TAD but of vinetting around the wide angle lens, but not awful in most portions. Keep in mind you can zoom your footage to fix that up a bit more. Seems like it's chancing from shot to shot as well. Love the shot with the bunny ears. Great lighting. Pretty loose on any sort of actual story, but the pacing and use of varied locations makes this a Heavyweight IMO, borderline Lightweight.

Some great colors first of all, must have a nice camera, or at least a good eye for color correction. Hey! A Wisconsin shirt! I'm from Wisconsin ... (Eau Claire). Audio is also good for just being outside. Boom mic? Judging from this slow motion shot of the frizbee, I'm gonna guess you're shooting on an HVX.

Good casting for the tough dude. Wicked facial hair.

The flashes are cool. Not sure about the sound effects choice, unique certainly. I think you could have got away with just doing one instead of a bunch.

WHOAA SWEET EYE RIP!!

Yeah you must have a 35mm adaptor too, wonderful DOF.

Totally sick action sequence!!! Blood splatters look F'n great.

This is totally like something I would want to make - random, fun, good action, bloody, and ... once again ... random. My favorite entry of the fight and damn I wish I could go back and change my vote!! Would love to see you guys enter again!

Some nice opening shots here. Not sure if I agree on the choice for music. I don't like the fade cuts for this -- watch abrupt audio shifts when you change shots.

The dancing girl should have had a line like ... "Hi! I'm the magical dancing girl and I'm here to bring you joy!!" -- just a little set up for the whole scenario.

Kids running away in fear - that's a funny shot :)

Montage background music is really fun. Makes me want to do an 80s inspired dance of some sort. Would like some more close ups to show the angry girl's face as she finally decides to have some fun. That was the key scene at the end and it's just shot from so far away it's hard to read what's going on.

Looks like you guys are in NYC! We're sorta neighbors! Keep it up, I'd love to see you guys improve more next fight :)

Soundtrack Pro music ... so fun and so everywhere, haha.

Oh man, caught you saying "action" in the background! Gotta listen for that in editing!

Even though it looks like you're using a digital camera to shoot this, I liked some of the shot selection a lot. Them running and you chasing behind actually looks cool. The weird scanning shakey effect adds something neat to it.

Sky looks great.

You should have chose a longer song, or looped the song more ... or better yet, cut down your montage a bit to fit the length of the song. Obviously you guys were just running around having fun, nothing wrong with that. If you feel limited by equipment, remember you can always shoot and then re-record your talking sequences afterwards on the computer and lip dub them in. Enter next time and let's see how you progress!
