You sir, have done the very best out of all of us in regards of lighting. No one else in my opinion has captured the shadow and dark film noir look better than you. Main actor and the actor playing anonymous very natural delivery. Who doesn't love a good pedo bear joke? Great writing! "I did it for the lulz" should be in the "on the waterfront" remake starring you guys. Everyone else is yelling at you for the audio so I think you got the message. Very enjoyable, all around A!
Thanks a bunch, man! We really put the best effort we could on those scenes' lighting. "On the Waterfront" remake starring us... LOL. That would frighten me. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it. This was a very complimentary review from last month's winner. Looks like between the two of us we have each weight-division covered for comedy this month, eh?
Haha, yeah! Keep up the spoofs, see in heavy weights next month!
Beautiful locations. Very strong acting. Your villain reminds of a french Joker...
Totally, I think he took a little inspiration from that
Beautiful quality! What did you guys film this on? If you say red ones, I might believe you! It's amazing how close to film we can get with digital cameras now. Great music and intro. Very strong blocking with your actors. Thats an awesome prop gun with a moving chamber. The only thing that sticks out is the lack of dolly when the camera is following your actors walk and that just sticks out because everything else looks so professional. Great job!
Hey Bryan, great job. Nice effect in the beginning. Looked like the actors head was blown off but then you cut to a close up and he didn't really have any blood or scratches on him. I went back and saw a little blood on his bottom lip. The effect made it look like a more damaging gun shot. The blocking between the doctor and detective looks a little unnatural. I like the shot of the detective first walking in. He has a great facial expression, great choice on camera angle for that. Nice closing credits and quick ending. Nice muzzle flash.
Those chunks flying from his head weren't guts. They were supposed to be chunks of cigar.
But it came from the back of his head?
Negative. If I showed you the raw coverage, you'd see he's blowing chunks of brown paper from the front with his mouth.
My mistake.
Short and to the punch. Great job on handling a lot a dialogue without cutting. You had some long takes without any of the actors going weak on the performance. Not a lot of camera movement but you didn't really need it for this kind of flick. Great last line, great writing in general. Hot mistress!
Great shots and composition. Quality looks kinda crappy for 16mm but I understand you could not upload the HD one. I like your actor, very nice shot with him looking directly into camera. He looked vulnerable at that moment. Great choice. Didn't really like the breaking of the mirror, but with a limited budget you got to do what you got to do. Love the ending, makes me want to see the other 4 minutes you cut out. Great job!
