Valentine's Day Haiku
Genre: Video HaikuRules: Create a Valentine's Day themed VIDEO HAIKU! A video haiku is a 3 shot film. 1st shot is 5 sec, next shot is 7 sec, final shot is 5 seconds. SEE EXAMPLES HERE: http://bit.ly/s34Fmc
OK, for starters, the video quality of this SUCK! I don't know what I did wrong, but obviously I need some lessons in compression. We REALLY needed to use a tripod. I had to make all the green screen parts, and it wound up really shitty. Even though 2 in is a really short song, I think I could..should have made it shorter. I love Derek's parts. He totally captured the awkwardness I was going for. Again, I am so disappointed with the quality. It took way too long to edit, but I am glad we finally made a film fights movie, again.
So, the big issue with the quality is that there's just sooooo much detail going on in the background. It's like, if you film a video in the forest it'll look like crap because of all the details in the leaves / trees / etc fucks the compressor in the butt. I don't think our bitrate is particularly high either, which we can look into (I just don't want to end up with a killer bandwith bill since we're hosting them ourselves now)
It looked shitty even before I uploaded it. I rendered it like 5 different times, trying to get something decent, but I couldn't figure it out. Heather is going to come teach me Final Cut, sometime soon. Then I'll be set.
OK, just watched this again, sober. I guess it did get a little worse when it compressed. Probably like you said, cause of all the crazy lights and shit going on.
"You got fucked int he ass on that one" -Phil. father and Son Tuesday. In other words, Ed Flinch just kicked our ass, and I am happier because of it. Plus, I was in that film , so I can share the win. Ha. This was awesome. Way, way fucking better than the BS I submitted. Ed Flinch FTW.
OK...wasn't sure if I loved where this idea was going, but it started to get good during your "I could make a movie about..." things. Then it got crazy and weird and I fell in love. Great job. Way better than our video. Props.
"WHAT?! How is this a lightweight????" -Me.
Great to see all these famous MOTHER FUCKERS in one movie.
OK, I was drunk when I wrote that. This is definite LW, but still very fun to see you guys on film fights, once again.
Haha, ok --- I was like ... sure Erik and Steve are in this, but yanno ... def not a HW
Why is this a LW? I liked it better than the other video. If I could vote for LW's this would be my...eh, second vote. haha.
Ha! I thought it was funnier just seeing small bits of this rather than the actual thing.
Griffin, that was great! Hey, how about sharing some of those video enhancing drugs. I could sure use them. HA.
Danielle! So glad you took time to make something for us. I loved that copy write free music. HA. Reminds me of the stuff I used to used on Pinnacle. I actually thought the quality was really good. Especially compared to mine. HA
Thanks! Haha actually the dramatic music is from WOW, i'm pretty sure it's not copyright free, so hopefully I won't get sued... eh
