The Worst Way To Die
Genre: AnyRules: What would be the world's worst way to die? Would it involve turtle wax, a lampshade, and Andy Dick? You decide! Do your worst!!!
That was great. Makes me wonder if you used footage of you actually working and turned it into a filmfight, or if you had the opportunity to rip apart that wall just for this. I like it.
Dang, I wish you would have been able to use your own song. Also I agree with justin on the text being hard to read. I do like your crossfade though, because with the combination of the slow panning and the cross fading it gave the video a peaceful feeling.
I'm going to have to agree with Letneper about the cross fade. I think it works well here. I did have a problem with the text as well. very hard to read. other than that , well done.
thanks a lot guys - i do agree the quality of the text is horrific ha but yeah I used the cross fades to make it as peaceful as possible and I'm glad you guys thought it worked
What kind of camera do you use? The video quality always impresses me. Well shot and funny, but so far "play" is my favorite from your group.
Thanks a lot, me gots a sony hvr-v1u. With a little color correction I'm very happy with the quality it puts out.
At the beginning I think all I hear is "the cross I wear" and that would be only 4 syllables. Sorry I don't want to bust your chops, but it seemed important to mention. I liked the song you picked, and the video was feel good.
Noticed the same thing about the opening line. I don't mind the religious theme for this though. I always felt Haiku traditionally evoked a deep feelings on a subject and that is obviously present here.
I agree with the two above me. All you need to add is "that" between "cross" and "I" and you're good. I know the theme is religious, but it didn't seem in your face to me. The first two lines rhyming made it that much better.
How did you do the remote breaking special effect? Great concept! One of the best this month due to creativity and humor.
It was a mix of speeding up the footage so the remote goes flying faster, and just adding in some explosion effect from some stock footage I have from detonationfilms.com
Ahhh, okay I see the remote now. Very clever!
how the heck did you make this? What program do you use for the effects? I love the narration, music, and camera shots. Great all around.
Thanks! I used After Effects for the effects shots, and edited in Final Cut. I built the jet elements in Photoshop. Glad you enjoyed it.
