"The VAIDS" by Sometimes Funny - Reviewed on October 29th, 2009

Mike is a good actor. (you obviously know that) I like the idea of a villain having to go to the hospital to find out what is wrong -- and then thought he has the VAIDS -- he stilll lures in his victim with depression and a hug. The "I tried to be careful" - lol. nothing technical really bothered me -- i love that you used the cheap halloween costume stuff - I used a $2 pacakage from walmart and ended up turning it black in white to make it look better.

"C.A.S.H.E.W. TV Spot" by Procoverage Studio - Reviewed on October 29th, 2009

Wow I am really impressed with how the last two (you and SF) used all 30 seconds - like a sylablle spoken at the very last second. I LOVE what cashew stands for -- that is creative.

Your audio came off flawless. Good use of the screen to convey the message. Lighting coulda been a bit better on the vampire... then again vampires can't see light. You coulda put more time in desiging the CASHEW lable -- but really lol - it's prolly meant to be cheesy.

that is it. Thank you for taking the time to put the review shows together bryan -- that is really cool.

"Unraveled" by Glossy Finish Pictures - Reviewed on October 29th, 2009

OK - first off -- best job at fitting every single thing in that you can - and perserving your comedic timing. seriously!! THe acting was good and i am glad your mummy went all out!!

One thing you REALLY REALLY REALLY need to work on (me as well) is audio "equalization" in shots. Fade in and out on your audio - - and the yelling is distorted every once in awhile. It is really harsh in between cuts (especially when changing location). Once again, I was very impressed with fitting in as much as possible.

"Period" by Synaptic TV - Reviewed on October 29th, 2009

OH. MY. GOD. NICE SHOT AT THE END!!! that seriously shocked me and had my jaw drop. Your actress was a good sport -- i don;t think i would have anyone jumping to do that.

Loved to see the vampire transition slowly betwen shots -- and his reaction -- funny to see girls talk about that stuff in front of guys - it does happen. The only thing i would have done different with the shots was vary them. They are all a wide shot. with the 2-shot of the ladies it is totally understandable. but with the vampire you should have had a MS/CU/whatever cut it. Just advice. maybe see how nervous he was really getting.
BUT SERIOUSLY: MY FAVORITE ONE!! You got my vote! Most creative idea/concept by far! My only question now is: Is she a vampire since hte blood has already left the body -- lol.

"Interview With Gaypire" by The Cove Shorts - Reviewed on October 29th, 2009

I liked this -- felt too much of the interviewing part.... more of the street part woulda been funny. maybe better teeth next time so your actor can actually talk.

WELL LIT!! GOOD JOB!! even though it is obviously lit (shit mine we used a Maglight out at a cemetery) it is still important you used it. Your audio was very well too.

Loved the idea.

"Urggguuughhhhh!" by Dont Ask - Reviewed on October 29th, 2009

I liked this. It made me giggle. I was going to say you stayed on the one shot way too long... but really that's all you needed was that shot to get the message across. You could really benefit from lighting here to help the video be less grainy. That's the only problem i saw. Nice to see you submitting work Danielle :) Keep it up. Good concept.

"Carl's Pumkin Booth" by F.A.S.T.films - Reviewed on October 29th, 2009

I did what the director told me to. Enough said. *cringe* I HATE BEING ON CAMERA.

My favorite part by far is Kyle's line (maybe because i knew the whole script - cause i was in it.) Thank you Jeremy for being patient with my "oh MY GOD i have to do this AGAIN!!" You'd think that me directing so many videos would have me know what the actor has to go through -- i think it was well deserved considering what i've made some of my people have gone through. I know meagan woulda gotten a kick being there. Overal, i think it was pretty healthy for me to be in front of the camera.

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING JEREMY -- we will do this again sometime - with Meagan.

HOLY SHIT. KIDS ARE ENTERING NOW?!?! i thought this was cute. I like how seriously good the kids was acting. Watch your music level.... couldn't hear your talent at one point (bike riding by -- could have been the direction). Good concept for 30 seconds. Your screen size wasn't right (you already know that). Loved the music.

Keep it up - you guys should be better than me in 2 months!!

woah. You win the costume contest. I thought bad boy vampire waiting in line did. Watch how long your shots are and try to vary your shots (Medium Shot/Close UP/Wide Shot - Etc). That is all. ;)

Cause everyone hates getting there clothes messed up before work... this could have really used some music underneath it to make it less dry. more than one cut too.

First off -- good use of music; you clipped your audio on one of the segments -- i know this was an especially good exercise for you in cutting your time down/unnecessary "stuff" out.

I like you referencing the camera when it is time to put the disguise on. Now the next part saddens me cause I accidently saw a review -- and they talked about the blackface --- so unfortunately was not as great of a surprise as it should have been.
the "is this my hair comment was great!!" slight jumpcut with you at the table... BUT
overall this is BY FAR one of KJL's best efforts!!! good cutting different shots... your normal cheesy comedy ;) loved it.

I hope when you go home on christmas break there can be some ninja happenings with your friends from home! that would be a bad ass christmas present for filmfights.

Thank you for your comments on my film as well -- it was good constructive criticism and i would have actually taken some of your advice :)
