good stuff... like the multiple fail idea. The kid sneezing was good, the other ideas could have been more creative or funny though. Also work on the sound, a scream that loud is gonna annoy some people rather then make em laugh, and the shots needed audio transitions. overall i liked it, nice job!

"Period" by Synaptic TV - Reviewed on October 26th, 2009

hmmm, im glad somebody went there. the vampire had some good reactions, really good. I couldnt hear the girl that well though, maybe do single close up shots for better audio, then get a close up reaction shot of the other girl and the vampire to make it funnier. You probly should throw in a POV shot from the vampire there at the end... JK, im not a creep, just a bad joke.

Wow, hysterical! Excellent job, f'n GREAT idea. It's crazy close and I was utterly shocked so see you go as far as you did in the last shot lol. It really made it that much better though. Love the girl screaming as blood sprays on her, very nice.

YES! What Alasdair said! This was superb! Laughed my ass off and the abrupt ending was fine.

"C.A.S.H.E.W. TV Spot" by Procoverage Studio - Reviewed on October 26th, 2009

good idea but just didnt keep my attention. I think b/c it was a tv ad with a host who had a sheet covering his head. If 3/4th of the video is a still shot of a guy talking, spend more time on his outfit, maybe glue on goofy looking eyes and a mouth?

The original idea was for me to dress in a suit and do the ad like a used car salesman and have someone else play the vampire (in the end, both were played by me because I couldn't find anyone). Because one of them had to have their face concealed, I decided to have the main announcer be some kind of a cloaked minion.

"The VAIDS" by Sometimes Funny - Reviewed on October 26th, 2009

hahaha the best part is how the vampire says "vampire aids." Good idea, good production, GREAT acting from both people. Only thing i didnt like was the flow of the first 3 shots. Maybe it would have flowed better if those 3 shots were on a tripod and the sound was taken out. (maybe with cheesy waiting room music). Overall very good! Best costume and acting by far.

Oooh, waiting room music is a really good idea. I may modify our Vimeo version with that.

"Interview With Gaypire" by The Cove Shorts - Reviewed on October 26th, 2009

MY FILM: Thanks for watching our first film fights entry ever! I was (adamthegreat) on the forum since 2004, but this was the first time i actually got something entered (and barely). We had an idea we loved for 2 weeks, planned to film it the night it was due, and our main actor couldnt show up. We had to write/film/edit this as our plan B video in around 3 hours, so go easy on our first FF film.

good to see some young filmmakers in the mix! Loved the music and how friendly everyone was to mr johnson. To help, 2 of the people walking up to mr johnson had 2 different establishing shots of them walking up to mr johnson, this makes the cuts kind of weird. Try just using one shot of each person walking up to say Hello. This would also be quicker and could make it funnier, then if you want a second shot of them cut to a close up of just their face saying it. Good work guys!

i loved the "girls" dialogue/acting, especially the "kiss me." Good idea, i think it just needed a good last shot/ending to take it to the next level.

"Dracula's Wacky Date" by Kim Jong Lee - Reviewed on October 26th, 2009

loved the vampire's voice! Blackface was a funny idea too, especially with recent events. The only thing i would change is the shot where she throws water on him, cut it quicker. Maybe have the shot of her throw water then the shot of him getting hit so you can see his reaction?

"Mummy Breakfast" by JnAStudios - Reviewed on October 26th, 2009

i liked this one... i think its the only one (heavyweights included) that made me actually laugh out loud. It was simple and slow, but thats why it was funny. His pouting was a hilarious reaction, more creative then a scream or surprise attack. Only thing with that type of humor is that most people have to have it pointed out to them. anyway, i loved it!

"Urggguuughhhhh!" by Dont Ask - Reviewed on October 26th, 2009

loved the simple idea... This one is also good b/c you question why they mummy listens to the girl, are they married? friends? i like not knowing and being left with that thought.

production wise: Since you couldnt see either of them talk, why not voice them over and get better audio? then you could maybe add simple music or sound effects and the production quality would seam much higher.

the voiceovers were good, very funny. I didnt like the choice of music though, threw me out of place. I would also cut it much quicker, maybe throw in some close up reaction shots of people in line getting annoyed. Zombie looked good, nice make up.

"Carl's Pumkin Booth" by F.A.S.T.films - Reviewed on October 26th, 2009

Great acting? I dont know, you all seamed a little too bad to be that good. Liked the idea, just wish you would have spent more editing time, maybe added some cheesy graphics/titles. I also thought the best part was your face and reactions, but it was all from far away. I think close ups of you making faces, looking at the lady and stabbing the pumpkin would have been a lot funnier.

Yeah, that's something I noticed when we were editing, was that I totally forgot to shoot some close ups of my face. I would have went back and filmed them if I had more time. I was editing on her computer and she had to leave. We were real pressed for time. Heather HATES being in front of the camera, but I forced her to be. HAHA.

SWIMMING POOLS

I think you had an awesome concept, but the subject matter lent more to over the top fast talking and acting. I think "bad acting" is a bit overdone. that "it's just like looking into a mirror" would have been hilarious if it wasn't delivered the way it was!!

I still think the concept of carving a swimming pool into a pumpkin is hilarious though. and that jack o lantern pun was good too

i enjoyed rewatching it!!

"Woo Hoo! Thank you to all of you who voted for our film. We are really excited as well as surprised by the win. With all the obstacles we faced in this fight we feared it wouldn't be as greatly acceptedd as it turned out to be.

We are very happy that we were able to fight our way up, with your help, from Middleweights to this. We are looking forward to the coming fights and hope we can continue producing quality films for your entertainment. Thanks for the compitition and we hope you all keep bringing it.

Special Thank You's: Audra - for helping on such short notice. Everyone who said we needed to be bumped up a weight class. Jake- For overseeing the whole operation in Justin's absence.
