"Forest Fight" by TNTProductions - Reviewed on February 3rd, 2010

Well done boys! Feels authentic, starting with the telephone voice. Camera work etc, simply creative and thanks to the music this really stands out this week. The main character was warned, so where is his gun when he walks to the bunker? Also the last eye opening belongs to crappy horror movies. Otherwise only +:es. Great job!

Another of my biggest favorites this week. You have had the courage to fight about something ordinary and I was hoping that someone would do that. The down to earth element gives this film a depth that I love. Very good.

"Can't Run From Death" by Redhand Studios - Reviewed on February 3rd, 2010

Ha-ha! Yeah, now I see how this continues... That brings a bit extra enjoyment because you sense that a brain is ticking well here.
Exactly as your last entry this has a moment that I think is optimal -as the escaping woman is on her way down with the elevator she screams perfectly. Love that.

The second half repeats the trick that the hero is surprised -sort of another genre comparing to how I understood the beginning and therefore him being selectively deaf is a bit of a problem here for me.

I don't know why the close up on the spoon made me laugh from excitement the first time I saw this. Probably has to do with the fast tempo which suddenly turns into a slow tranquil heart beat. A kitchen seems like a death trap after this film by the way.

"Mortal SlapFace" by Benton Tarantella Films - Reviewed on February 3rd, 2010

I feel like hitting people now. But hey wow, the way he gives the guy his neurotic look in the beginning is first class acting. You could have used more of that. Another excellent move is how he tries to get up from the floor. Could have gone better, but it's the thought that counts. This rises high on it's charm in my book.

The acting is enjoyable even if you aren't taking this at all seriously. When you make more movies you'll soon run into people saying an action needs to be motivated. As here, what's their reason to fight? The first guy says hey and the other throws his cards.

"Painted Orange: Part 2" by Jessemount Pictures - Reviewed on February 4th, 2010

This is two times a double whiskey. It has twice of everything. Two guys fight, and at the same time bombs in the background. First outside, then inside. Double sound overlay with the music and random bang-bang.

Is this good or bad?

Good story and perhaps even better work in the editing room. The sounds work and it feels that here's action delivered at a silver plate. Not too impressed with buckets of blood and a guy who tries to kill a forest, though.

Wow, who does a bridge kick is of course worth to win. Still, that was Indiana Jones right there.
