So we get the 2nd installment. I think this is a filmfights first. Seems like someone did apart 1&2,maybe, but for sure no more than that. I really like the idea. I really like the plot of this so far. My only complaint here is that it's really not a propaganda movie, at all. It definitely had the feel of a "help" or "menu" of the future type thing. Something I picture in Demolition Man or Minority Report. The echo lent to that effect. Your actor did a good job, except "affectionately" kinda rolled out a little awkward. Nice clean greenscrren work.
Ha, I wonder how long one could go trying to string together sequels over the course of as many different fights and genres as possible. Someone on here should definitely try that!
What is this audio from? Not original is it? Xmen? Anyway, it wounded pretty good, ESPECIALLY if it was original work. I really, really like your shots in this. Especially the was you used focus and depth of field. Gave these little guys more dimension. Seemed kinda yellowish. Don't know if that was done intentionally or from lack of white balancing. Either way, I would have rather it been nice true colors. It felt propaganda-ish until the little guy got thumped. Camera work was definitely my favorite aspect of this. It was my vote.
Like the other two HWs, this was not really a propaganda film, but it was enjoyable. Pretty simple and some neat effects. I really liked the voice and language (was that real or made up?). It was humorous to hear that come out of a kid. Opposite of Justin, I thought it added an element of comedy, having the Straw Hat Emperor be a child. Man, I have to get with the times and all these effects. That was very realistic looking when the dude got zapped. Nice job jerking the camera as it happened.
Thanks! The language is real, it is Dutch :-)
I get the impression this was done on video mode with a point and shoot camera and none of it was editing on the computer. Mainly because I saw you shooting it in the mirror, it was all one shot, and the FF intro was filmed n the computer screen, rather than edited in. If I am correct, props on actually using what you have to make something, rather than using it was an excuse not to participate. With the right lighting, you can probably make the video on a point and shoot look tolerable. Maybe even getting a cheap external mic could help the audio. You are almost going to have to learn to do some editing in the computer to really take this up a notch, tho. Again, I am making presumptions, here. The dialogue was good. The idea was neat given your limitations. Not too shabby.
I use windows movie maker for all my movie editing, I have pretty well mastered it. I didn't download any production music like I usually do for the rest of my vids I have. I had an issue with downloading the intro tho, I did the one thing I wasn't proud of; I recorded it using my digital camera. If you would like to see the full version of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmL8RdoO2bA
there ya go. Thanks again for your comments. I promise I will do better on the next one.
Eh, guess I was wrong. That's what I get for making presumptions. Mainly what lead me to think that was the Ff intro and the fact that it was all one shot with no audio or credit work. Given that I now know you had access to an editing program, I would say that some shot variation would have spiced things up for me a bit. I will go watch the longer version, tho. Thank you for sharing that with us.
Pretty good idea, here. What's up with the audio, though? I am going to guess this is more of a problem with you camera, than something you actually did wrong. Still could have did some sound editing (blending, transitions).A few of the cuts were abrupt. Neat idea, just not great from a technical aspect. Glad you finally entered something!
I think that creenshot alone, it going to get you a lot of views. A little misleading, pehaps. Pretty decent idea, if not a little too simple. The stuff with the kid eating the shoe was really funny. I liked the fact that you used the "EE" from this fight's example picture. Acting was pretty decent. Audio might have been a little low. Overall pretty good. This was my LW vote for sure!
*Screenshot. Can't go back and edit.
Also, I think I was mistaken about the "EE"
