"Evil Lego Empire" by CyFy - Reviewed on January 15th, 2010

You can't go wrong with LEGOS. That tank looks totally awesome. I like your shots in this. Looks very pretty. Haha, great twist at the end.

To improve this, I would have shown a little more 'scope' - show us the army amassing around this guy - or at least perhaps start us far away from his face and then we zoom closer and closer with each subsequent shot. Then finally for the reveal we punch back and LOLZing commence.

Oh and I like the VO too

I give this film a B+

"Reaper Propaganda" by Redhand Studios - Reviewed on January 15th, 2010

Your fake phone screen is a little shaky. Also, your audio levels are a bit low. I like how you're tying it in with the previous entry, very tricky. Those guys seem like an evil empire. Not sure this is actually propaganda though.

I give this film a B.

We had a hard time trying to tie this all together, but we figured what is more of a world Domination organization than DEATH?
I would like to apologize for omitting the credit reel...

"The Straw Hat Emperor" by Mad Scientist Entertainment - Reviewed on January 15th, 2010

Love the subtitles. I like the floating ship but your motion tracking needs serious work! Too bad you couldn't get one of your parents to play the evil emperor instead. Or you could have used some more makeup or worn a mask or something along those lines. Just feels like I should be SCARED of the guy more, yanno? Love the exploding blood effect - feel like we'll be seeing a lot more of that, ha.

I give this film a B-

Great effects! Sure they could use some polish...but hey, you got more special effects out than I do! Great work!

"EVIL EMPIRE: KATONIA" by W.I.P.S. - Reviewed on January 15th, 2010

CATS! I love cats. Poor cats are always being down trodden. Catonians, ha. Meow excessively, ha! This ends very abruptly. Maybe you could pretend like the cat had taken over the airwaves and he was cut off at the end when his cat signal is finally jammed? A good start to something, but just not quite there. Video quality left a little to be desired (tripod maybe?) but that's not as important as concept, which is decent.

I give this film a C+

Lol...I have a cat that would totally join this cause!
I also dig this concept alot, but there is something missing in the final product, perhaps making the film look grainey, like the signal has been improperly hacked, or old school new footage?

thanks for your great comments, the original vid to this is about a minute long. Due to time i had to shorten it up. and yes this version does end abruptly. I would love to post the full version but i don't know if you would except it.

"Penny the Party Member" by Dark Molly Productions - Reviewed on January 15th, 2010

Audio is really terrible on this. I like how you did a 1984 thing. Careful with whipping around the camera and holding it by hand - looks like you're getting some CMOS 'wobble' in there. I guess you were trying to emulate a kid's show - or maybe a blog ... I could see a blog making sense.

Are you supposed to be coming in on our TVs or something? A "tv" effect to show that would be good. Maybe an effect on your voice to make it scarier.

I like that you stuck true to the propaganda theme, execution needs a lot of work, careful with your audio quality (redub it if you have to!). Glad to have you, and stick around and keep entering!

"Evil Empire Promo" by a BRELSE Production - Reviewed on January 29th, 2010

Howdy! Welcome to Film Fights! I like the script in this a lot. Why don't you have any sound effects?? Seems like it's missing a layer of polish - like when the screen fritzes our there should be static sounds and her voice should alter. And really, no sound effect even for "SLAP" ?? Also you've got this projector thing going on ... but you're also using a TV static effect. Kind of odd.

For this one, I'd say, need a lot of audio work - LOVED the script on this, don't get me wrong - this is a very good idea, but a bit lacking in execution needed to make it a HW entry. Hope this review helped!

I give this a C rating
