Valentine's Day Haiku
Genre: Video HaikuRules: Create a Valentine's Day themed VIDEO HAIKU! A video haiku is a 3 shot film. 1st shot is 5 sec, next shot is 7 sec, final shot is 5 seconds. SEE EXAMPLES HERE: http://bit.ly/s34Fmc
I liked the blinking effect. You have a good idea. Could probably be a little shorter, and the sound FX need some improvement. Play around with ways of creating sounds, until it sounds good to you. Good job though, was this all done in one take?
This had a bit of a "Highlander" feel to it, which was cool. The fade in and out from black was used a little too much. I think the fight scenes could have been better, if you had another person to hold the camera and move in and around the action. I liked this one, keep it up.
The lighting on your first shot doesn't match the rest of the video. For me the music didn't go well with the video. I think some suspensful music and/or sound FX would have fit better. Keep submitting!
I like the story line. I thought you had a sidways snoricam until I saw your arm in the mirror. (If you don't know what a snoricam is, it is a device that mounts the camera to your actors body). The actors were good, and I like that you were able to get some footage in a real hospital setting.
Looks like there's a formatting issue with the iPhone4...thingy! Fix that if possible. Good job, and see you guys next time.
thanks for the review. i was trying to get the snorricam effect without the mirror but i didnt feel like filming the scene again for the 5th time. and with the format i filmed it rightside up which made it that way. i didnt think about filming sideways untill i filmed the hallway in the hospital(which was the last scene i filmed). ill stick to using my camcorder more often. and thanks again
Gotta love Ninjas! Nice climbing skills. I don't think the female character needed to pretend to be hispanic, just being a general servant would have sufficed. The phone call was funny. Nice work!
This was a really good idea, and put together fairly well. Although, Justin and those guys prefer film fighters to stay away from copyright music. This was very funny and I enjoyed it. This could be MW material, very close!
Never trust anything a mime tells you! At least I think they're mimes...I'm not sure. I like the setting though, it's very dark and morbid with the cement walls and static on the tv.
You gotta love the creepy garage in the back yard setting. (that is my buddy's garage too)
Good effort, but needs work. I've never seen anyone have that much fun while brushing their teeth.:) Careful with mirrors, don't let the camera or your camera man be seen. The shot walking down the stairs was in there twice. Not sure if that was on accident or on purpose. Either way I would leave the second one out.
You guys are young and on the right track. Keep working at it, and hope to see you guys again.
You always have some of the best image quality in all your submissions. Who did the voice over?...It sounded awsome. I wanted to see a bit more on this one, maybe some interaction between characters. I'm guessing you don't have many people willing to be actors, considering YOU are the only character I usually see in your films. Keep up the good work, and I'm sure we'll be seeing you dominate the HW in no time.
