The Worst Way To Die
Genre: AnyRules: What would be the world's worst way to die? Would it involve turtle wax, a lampshade, and Andy Dick? You decide! Do your worst!!!
Believable actors acting in a very credible setting. The movie works a lot until the last shot. Unfortunately, the ending is a big let down for one detail. While the hit is okay (wouldn't want to hit the little girl for real by accident), the next scene is implausible and asks awkwardly for the viewer to believe that the woman doesn't see the little girl even if it wouldn't be the case. I'm being picky, I can't tell you enough how I loved the first minute of your movie.
Great lighting (even if it's only natural lighting) that fits the horror theme and great camera movements suggesting urgency and terror. Weird story. What's your camera? the low light has great results!
Easy to see the difference between a cheap Handycam a semi-pro DV cam. Saw this clip before, I liked it. It's a fun clip that follows all the rules of ska/punk videoclips, the cuts, the transitions, the little story.. etc. It's all good work and efficient editing. To make constructive comments I could add that next time, since you own already that style, it would be greater if come up with something unexpected.
Looks like a really good thriller, over the usual quality found on filmfights.
My complaints are probably caused only by the WMV and WMA compression: the gamma is way too high, everything is washed out in whites. While it may be a wanted "look" (ala One Hour Photo), in this case it gives a soap look to the otherwise great looking film. Also, the first lines of dialogue are lost in the music and/or sounding like AM radio "Hello, what do you do Norman".
Went to your site and discovered that these problems are a less palpable on the full version. Continue your good work with Jon, I wish you luck. BTW props for Booster Rocket, it was great.
Only the intro was enought to made laugh out loud: the combination of family music and useless waiting is absolutely charming. The rest is nothing out of the ordinary: entertaining lightweight material.
Second lightweight animated movie. Fun logo. Made me laugh. Would have liked more crazy animated stuff in the background.
MARIO WORLD SOUND!!!
Vidbloggy. Pointless to criticise.
I'm still curious about that NC-17 clip on your site, this could be a premiere on filmfights! See you on fight #69.
Great concept. Would have hoped for something "more" in the first part to get me hooked immediately. I didn't see the second part coming, nice contrast of situations. My major complaint is more of a personal thing; the musical choice. First part; music is too known and doesn't really fit in context until the door opens. Second part; a bit too epic for what's shown, creating two awkward moods for a same sequence. Otherwise cool work! :)
A combat movie, without any actual combat in the movie. Short and sweet, the ending is funny. Another character killed with a cigarette, those things are dangerous!
OLD OLD stuff. Still very entertaining. Insane editing. What always fascinated me with this one from you is how close to real "Michael Bay moments" this movie was. Never boring.
