Valentine's Day Haiku
Genre: Video HaikuRules: Create a Valentine's Day themed VIDEO HAIKU! A video haiku is a 3 shot film. 1st shot is 5 sec, next shot is 7 sec, final shot is 5 seconds. SEE EXAMPLES HERE: http://bit.ly/s34Fmc
Slow motion intros aren't really my thing. They're okay if there's some titles or text going over them, but slowmotion for the sake of slow motion is time consuming!
That's a lot of spinning around the truck - another thing that could be cut down.
That little kid has some nice ninja moves. Good spinning, I like the shot where the Jewish guy says "Let's go!" - nice motion on the camera.
Hah, totally owned by the garage door.
I like your zooms in this, they're quick and effective.
Driving around with a gun in suburbia sounds like a fun way to get the cops called on your asses, heh.
Fun movie, I liked it, good energy, could have been cut down a tad at the start but that's my only quibble. Sound wasn't great but at least I could hear it.
Nice basketball court, I wish I had a court like that around here so I could throw down some hoops. Alas, we only have a tennis court.
Is that dude supposed to be a ninja? Oh, I see, he's a terrorist ninja - fair enough!
I kind of like the weird reality-ish style with little music at the start.
Hard to hear the dialogue in the middle with the music. Needs some sound effects in the choke sequence so we understand more what's happening.
Lots of weird, cheap-seeming cuts on the same shot. Irritating.
Needs more sound effects! The editing is slow-paced and a bit sloppy. Tighten this up, music this up, sound effects this up and it could have been an okay entry!
That dude has a wicked moustache. Oh wait, it's not a moustache, it's more of a moustache and a chin-thing. That's too bad, he should really shave that down.
I can hardly hear the talking!!! People need to watch their videos and make sure that you can tell what the devil is going on before finalizing them! It's much easier to re-dub audio than set up a big green screen thingie :(
Great music in the zombie sequence. Gotta love that frickin' weirdass J pop.
Awesome props in the toolshed. Not a fan of the zooming. Would have been much better if you physically moved the camera into their faces instead of zooming.
I can tell you must be big fans of Sean of the Dead.
Artie Artie Artie!!! I love Artie!!!
Is Artie really Jewish? I hope so.
The intro needs a little more fleshing out, I didn't totally follow what was said on the phone.
I love the Pabst Blue Ribbon - PBRMEASAP. I've never actually drank PBR but it can't be worst than a lot of other beers.
More awkward cutting in the middle sections. The shots and stuff are good, something about the flow and the pacing just doesn't work for me.
AHah, number of movies played on TBS, I like that. Artieeee!
Good smack talking in the confrontation sequence. Oh lord, the Matrix music, noooo.
NJFC, always wonderful to see them entering a video. I think this is totally classic Filmcore - all the amazing wacky costumes! PBJ time indeed.
The lines from the dad are great, that fake moustache rules.
But really, the lines just keep getting better and better.
The guy playing the kid kind of looks like Pee Wee Herman. Not like that's a bad thing.
All the giraffe stuff is funny, but I think as someone else mentioned, it's not really very Christmasy. Not even some lights or a tree or anything!
Regardless, it's funny, and I like it.
I love the intro, it reminds me of a Wes Anderson movie - is that Rushmore music in the background?
Man, I have to crank up the audio to hear the dialogue, damnit.
That dude has a wicked haircut. Hooray.
Oh no, STDS!!!! Nice twist and nice cut to the end credits.
I see a lot of the same shots that you used in your Haiku video. I really love how the black and white photographs look. The music is also awesome - original I assume? Kind of Hitchcockian.
Finally some speaking in a Five Clover Film! It reminds me of ... Sex Lies and Videotape. The acting is actually quite good. Some ADR would help but for the most part the speaking parts are listenable.
Great holiday montage at the start. Really perfect way to kick off a Christmas movie. You guys go all out over there, don't you? We have some decent displays in Wisconsin, but nothing worth phoning home about anymore.
That horn is awesome. The stuffing of the horn is also awesome.
Would have like to seen some more emotion from the "Oh sweet jesus" line.
Haha, you're the douchebag.
Nice smooth cut on the 'so many decorations' line.
Could have cut right to him popping in the dvd instead of him walking up to it and then popping it in.
That's one handsome ghost of christmas present.
I love all the Douchebagging.
Movies that end with dancing are awesome! Good work, festive, holidayish, I love Revolution films!!
Wow, what an amazing toupee! It's flying all over the place! I've never seen such a thing.
Everyone loves secret santa. It's the craziest shit.
I like the cuts when they're opening the gifts. Are those robosapien things actually fun?
Eh, it's kind of dragging along in the middle, should have gone to the red shirt dude a little sooner.
Ew, a head, that's gross. It looks like that emo girl.
Needs some intense music in the background! Especially at the head scene - seems too much like a weird play instead of a movie.
I like his pose in the "What"
It was aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
