Good job intercutting in with the movie they're watching. The varied angles were nice, though it would be cool to see some over the shoulder shots instead of just wide to medium shots back and forth. I think you do a really good job on your movies and working on shot composition is your next step. I think you did a pretty good job framing your shots, but the last shot sems to be framed with the actors too low in the shot. The lighting was a little too washed out, but hey- I can see the actors so no big deal. Overall, a very short and sweet movie with a cute (but sort of predictable) ending. I like the dogs, too!
Hehehe-- I like the ending indeed. A new reason the silence it indeed. Short and sweet. Good sound and varied shots.
Is she talking to herself outside? Some of the shots seemed very odd... The ending, though, was clever and well worth it. Simple and sweet, and good trailer-like build up to it.
Is that a mogwai I hear? It is! Good use of varied shots and pretty good shot composition. The lighting was actually pretty good! The sound pipcked up well also. His fearful expression was awesome. Good gremlins spoof. I liked it, but the "silence your cellphone" requirement seemed kind of forced into it.
The guy's smile was hilarious. The shots were not framed well at all. Try remembering to frame the actor nearer to the top rather than directly in the middle. It gives too much of that annoying negative space when framed too high. The ending-- was very good! Good music to go with it and the guy's deliever of the line was perfect. Overall, the funniest I have seen so far.
The credits are literally half of your movie. Big build up for a very small "heh". It wasn't funny-- more of just something that actually happens on shoots.
The title lasted for like 1/4 second. I assume it said please silence your cellphone. The font you used with it and the end credits is really hard to read. Wow the lighting is bad when he comes in. This one wasn't very funny. I was excpecting him to reply with something rediculous as kind of a punchline.
The sound is really low. I like the shot with him choking and the cellphone in the foreground. Very nice. When she's talking one the phone she moves out of frame. I think you definitely should have panned over to keep her in frame. This one was pretty funny! I like the blatant disregard for the choking guy.
This had quite the build up for a not so worthwhile ending. Some of the shots were unneeded. I think this could have been cut down quite a bit. The shot of Andrew talking on the phone while the nasties were standing behind him was nice. Work on framing your shots-- don't leave so much empty space above the subject. And make each shot mean something-- don't add random shots that aren't funny or don't need to be there. Overall I think you guys are getting much better. Keep it up!
This looked very student filmish. Which is good because it had that obviously low budget, but good art direction to it. The shots were composed nicely. I like the contrasting handheld shots with the static shots. The kitechen scene was really good. I really like the rack focus shot on the milk date... but I don't know why.
Black and white helps get away with bad lighting-- I think your camera work has really improved. Now, start working on your sound (in other movies obviously) and lighting and your films will have instant moxie.
Overall the best looking lightweight, but the ending... was just bad.
