Yeah, this one is ours. I am thinking we are going to film our next one in 4:3 format instead of 16:9 so people can see more of the picture within the Windows media screen here on filmfights.com.
We did the blue tint on purpose for this film to simulate better watching the movie late at night. As for the voiceovers, it was kind of tricky to remove the echo but that could probably be solved with a different microphone.
Hope you enjoyed the movie!
This one was short and pretty funny, the music added to it. How'd you not get harassed filming at the supermarket? It sucks running out of toilet paper. But I bet if he had better lighting in the bathroom he might have found it. :)
OK this was a much much better entry than your Christmas filmfight. The sound was much better, more of the scenes were well lit, and the voiceover was blended in well. I also liked the use of the "Dawson's Creek" and "Kiss Me" music, made it feel like one of those teen angst movies. I also liked the sipping of the sodas in the diner.
It looked like there were some problems matching some of the voices to the actors during the scene where they are sitting at the table.
I know you like it, but never use the dramatic zoom back and forth again, it just doesn't work. And I saw two of the actors smile and try to contain themselves from laughing. Other than that I would say this is definitely your best entry to date besides the "Satan Duck" one which is still my favorite.
Man my brain must not be working today because I really didn't get this one either. He dies three minutes later? I mean we all know that cell phones cause cancer but I'm not too sure about this.
You did do a good job with the black and white filter and your shots were well lit.
Whoa dude. I'm going to need some sort of explanation on this one to figure out what you were going for here.
This is one of the best entries on here this week. I liked the establishing shot with the crazy guy chasing the "hero" and coming around the building.
Your running shots were well done and the camera "shakiness" was just right, not too all over the place like it could have been. I'd like to know your technique for this.
Only criticisms I would have is some of the shots of the bad man were really washed out in white behind him. And the sounds of the punching could have maybe been a little better blended in.
Other than that, great entry!
Another decent entry from Revolution, and definite good set design to simulate the old shop, good job to Rex and the Revolution crew!
Only things I would say were there were some lighting issues when the rules were being read (too bright), and also the "silence your cell phone part" felt a little forced into your story.
Hey what's up with lifting the Chinatown and Spike clip directly from Gremlins huh? Robert Zemeckis would not be happy with you Rex. haha
Well this is your first filmfights entry, so glad to see you've got the competitive spirit to enter films on here. However, there just wasn't a lot really going on here to comment on that much. Keep at it and be sure to participate in future fights.
This one was interesting, and the dance over to the cell phone is funny. It's just kind of hard to believe that someone's sister would completely ignore her choking brother to talk on the cell phone is all. Good editing overall but could have used some different shot perspectives to liven things up a little.
