This felt almost like three little movies within one, I think the first one was definitely the best and stayed closest to the soap opera format. I especially liked the face-slapping in the first part, very dramatic!

The second and third sections of this kind of strayed away, was the third one some sort of weird sacrifice section? Not as good. You almost could have ended it at the first part and it would have worked.

The voiceover at the end was good. Otherwise there were some sound issues, especially in the background noise in the first section and some quiet parts in the second section of the film.

Good entry but I think your last one had some better production values. And again your actors smile and barely can contain their laughter!! Try to work on that for next time...

Also bring back SATAN DUCK for the nightmare fight.

"Cuando Tiempo Pasa" by Revolution Films - Reviewed on January 30th, 2006

Another very good entry from Revolution Films, I especially like the "Knots Landing" like beginning with all the actors twirling around, the commercial breaks with the music, and the ending with the evil twin! POR QUE

Definitely high on the drama, which was cool. Only thing I would say is sometimes the actors looked washed out due to the lights nearby them.

Good job Rex and Team!

A good entry from FAST, I liked how you divided up the stores into the three separate segments, felt very soap-opera like. I think I liked the "alien baby" set the best, especially with the setting and the sounds in the background, it felt like a real invasion.

Are you using any particular kind of filter on your camera or on your editing software? Gave the video a cool look.

Only things I would say is that it was kind of hard to get into the "hospital" segment since it was a bedroom, but I think you mentioned that previously. Also I personally didn't like when the actor looked at the camera directly and talked about the aliens, kind of broke through the 4th wall for me.

Overall good entry Jeremy!

I have to admit that I totally cracked up many times watching this film. Very funny. The triple twin segment was my particular favorite segment. And you even wrote a song for the film, cool.

However, your production values need some serious work for your next entry. The lighting is not good, and very yellow. Invest in a couple of cheap lights beyond that which lights the room should help. And I could hear the camera pause buttons and zoom buttons many times. Also you need to tighten up your editing.

However for the lightweights, you get my vote!

Yeah this one is our entry. The music comes from an actual soap opera that I literally had to tape the music off of the TV because it's so hard to find "soap opera" like music online.

Watching some of the other soap entries, I wish we would have done an opening segment with the actors and the music too.

Unfortunately due to file size constraints, we had to cut out the very funny 1950's Folgers Coffee commercial, which would have been cool during the commercial break.

Hope you enjoyed our soap opera entry!

"Diamond in the Rough" by The Ruse - Reviewed on January 30th, 2006

I felt that this was more of a drama piece than a soap-opera like segment. The table reading segment wasn't really working for me, he was reading off a piece of paper and it felt like it, you needed to amp up some of the drama a little. Also some of your lighting looked kind of yellow.

But hey filmfighting is all good so hope you'll keep at it with future entries on the site.

A lightweight entry with some funny segments, but the actress spent a little too much time looking directly into the camera. And it was hard to tell what was happening during the "gunshot" scene. But I totally cracked up at the milk and "now die" line. Keep up the humor; looking forward to more entries from your group.
