i liked all the split screen stuff you had going on. i take it they do that in the show 24? i really cant judge how well you pulled off the parody, cause i have never sen that show, but i still enjoyed this as a short film. it had some well done dry humor and some creative shots. i especially liked when the guys were riding in the elevator talking about his jacket. my only advice is to work on the audio transitions and maybe some color corection stuff. other than that, i really enjoyed this entry.
DAMN! solid editing for starters. that weird computer hacker lady thing was FREAKY! great job pulling that off. haha...nice action zooms. ( i stole that word from rex) i take it this is another 24 parody, so i cant quite say how well you did with that, since i have never seen the show, but it was a very nice little flick. i could totally see it being a scene from a longer movie. oh yeah, that was ballsy...all the dialogue. swomething i am afraid of, but you went for it and it worked. good job.
this movie sucked!!!!
hehe..j/k its mine. there were some things about it that diassapointed me. like sam said (i cheated and read his review, but i was thinking the same thing), shot variation. i wish i had more close ups of faces to break up that long table shot. some of the sound transitions with the music were not good either. mainly the one right when he snapped out of his dream. the shot of the cookie didnt come out that great either. anyways, it was fn to try somethig simple, for a change. normally i get these big crazy idea that i have to compress to make a short film. this one was short in idea, so that was new for me. i finally got to use a greenscreen shot, too! rock.
thanx in advance for reviews and suggestions...
short and sweet! HE WAS OUT OF BEER! i have nightmares about that, too. nice shot variation. thats something i lacked this week. im running out of time to review here, but overall nice job, kid.
wow, that was weird. at first i was thinking, "gremlins rip off", but then that little guy was in the jar! that is a crazy mask. bunny? whatever it is, its freaky. i liked the music you chose. i gotta keep it quick here, but i dug the flick. only thing i would suggest is make more of a lighting effort and audio tranisitions. i think i say that about EVERY film, so no worries. :) great job!!!!
sorry...i cheated and read justins review (in the forum) and i usually dont like to do that. but, yeah, it was a good idea, just would have been better if you got to the punchline a little faster. i would have made the tying of the shoes and the teeth brushing real quick cuts and trimmed a little in the middle. i do like outtakes, but more for like a separate little thing that you could link in the forums. the acting was good and i thought it was funny. the lighting was a little dim, but tollerable. you guys got a good thing going here. i really did enjoy the movie. just try to make it more "quick flick" friendly, and i have no doubt you'll make HW next time..rock on!
