Zag Yo, you complete me! What a concept -- an original, funny take making fun of 24 and all the nuances. "This is so inconvenient!" Ok, HILARIOUS. This film gets my vote for Heavyweight. Great job pulling off another rock solid entry this week, Zag Yo. *The* best take on 24 this week, too!
The first thing that jumps out at me is the great lighting/sound work here. Great stuff. The props and locations rocked, too. I wasn't feeling the story with this one -- it was just ok for me. Solid work for you guys this week.
GREAT acting! Wow, wasn't expecing it but it hits you -- your opening guy can ACT. This was hilarious! OMG rock on! I laughed out loud on several parts of this. I LOVE IT!!! The world needs more Wallyville!
Great effects, guys! I think the plot moved a little slow -- you could have cut down on the dialogue at the start I think. Lighting was decent, just like sound. I like the creativity you guys put into the jar critter and the costume. :) Develop the plot a little better on the next one and you guys are gonna wail.
The first thing I thought about when I started watching this was -- where is this going? The opening shots of the guy putting on clothes need to be shorter -- as a tip, think about -- does this pull the story forward or drag it down? Do that with *every single shot*. If you don't need it, CUT IT. Don't be afraid to do multiple takes until you get the dialogue exactly like you want it. I got to see the previous version before you took out the bloopers, and I can tell a great difference in some of the stuff you guys redid. Keep doing it until you are 100% confortable it's right. Don't hold back with your dialogue -- say it like you mean it. Don't stop until it sounds natural to you. Other than that, if you were competing against your other films that you have made -- if I was using a scale of 1 - 10 (10 is the best), I'd say you were probably at a 3 or 4 previously. I think this entry bumps you up to 5 in my book. Keep on trucking and keep on getting better. You've got the talent.. just keep working at it!
Your entries always amaze me. Starts off really cool and strong, but wavers as it goes along. I would have liked to have had voiceover for the dialogue personally. Solid entry from you guys this week. Keep up the good work!
Just what I'd expect from FAST films.. an ORIGINAL idea with a cool concept. I'm digging the effects, man! After reading your post, I get the fact that it's the guy imagining and now he's heading out. I love the dance he does, and it's a great ending. I love the story in this one! GREAT work, Jeremy!
