A good looking entry, with great editing. A little slow in certain parts, especially when she's holding the gun to his head, it's supposed to be dramatic but it's drawn out too long. The flashbacks add well to tying the relationship between the brother and sister. Nice coloring effects too.
However, I have to disagree, this movie doesn't fit the theme for this week as well. I thought it was supposed to be a ripoff / spoof on gangster films? This has like nothing to do with that. Yeah so it's family and she shoots her brother, but why? Maybe she's joined a cult of some sort? A little more background info might have helped here.
Digging the opening theme music and the mumbling Don character. The main opening scene feels a little long because there's only two camera angles going on through most of the scene, try to spice things up a little bit. Also you "crossed the line" where you set up your second camera angle. Check out: http://www.indianapolisfilm.net/article.php?story=20031123160716783
You guys got some good jokes going on, but it's all just a little too dragged out. Try to stay within the time restrictions for the filmfight, Justin puts them there for a reason. If there had been more competition you might have gotten lightweighted for going over.
Anyway you guys stayed most on theme for this week's entry, so you get my vote. Good job and keep on filmfighting!!
Holy bad resolution Batman! I had to check and make sure there wasn't something wrong with my computer when I watched this. Must have been something you guys did with your rendering from the camera? Not really sure.
Yeah unfortunately when I saw this theme, I thought that it'd be pretty hard to do a successful gangster ripoff / tribute without it feeling kind of fake. I'll give you guys points for effort, but ultimately I didn't really feel anything here.
Keep on filmfighting!
