This is the video I made. It didn\'t take too long, and Pervis had an amazing performance. I\'ve always called him the \'Sean Penn of hamsters\' and he really lived up to that billing in this film.
Cool use of music for the hamster\'s march (or roll) to the toilet. Second shot sounded like there was a little bit of an audio hiss. And the final shot looked a little washed out on my computer, but maybe that was intentional? Still definitely a cool approach to the haiku format.
I thought it was pretty good. Great spoof of the penguin moviedocumentary. I liked how you put the camera on the floor while following the hampster around.. but i think that was your only option to make it as penguin like pretty as possible. All it needed was a rip off of morgan freeman doing a little haiku and I would have voted for it. -James D
good times.
looks like he is EARNING that roller-ball thing;)

Heh, short sweet and to the point, I guess. Heh. At least you entered something, right? I like the second shot, and the sound of the carpet Pervis is running across. I don\'t really get the meaning, but...cool.
I’ve always thought Justin had the best ideas for these things and that’s why he usually wins when he enters. I do, however, thing this is my least favorite of anything he’s made. No disrespect to Pervis, but it was a little too crocodile hunter for me. 3/5
I enjoy this one more and more each time I watch it. None of the shots are repetitive; they all move in physically different directions and show enough different action to create solid turning points for a haiku. Shot 1 is good because hampsters are cute. Shot 2 is good because of the cool low angle, and shot 3 is good because you use the foreground obstruction of the toilet to reveal the final location. The music is very appropriate, but to truly exploit the style you were going for, I would\'ve gone with a voice over rather than CGs. I think I\'ll mention this in a lot of these reviews - I am usually of the mindset that a good voice over is much more powerful than subtitles. Another point I will touch on a lot in these reviews is the importantance of coherency. With only 17 seconds to work with, Justin had a solid beginning, middle, and end, and the conciseness in no way interfered with me understanding his point. Nice job!
I\'m so glad that Justin is adding more films. I think we all know that he has been busy with moving in his new apartment, getting a new cat and tottaly making Filmfights kick tottal complete ass! But it is a great treat to see these One Trick Poney films.
Just, I thought it was cute. I liked the brightness enhance effect. Everything looks really well. But I can\'t exactly say that I enjoyed it too much. I mean, it had a cute hamster and a funny haiku, but I think the music just brought me down a bit. Other than that, this film was perfect!

This video is great, the exposure and video colors are amazing and it has a nice little story to the simple 3 act haiku structure.
Dude... I love the colors and the shots as a whole. Very creative and fun.
The only haiku that got me interested from the beginning. The second shot as an epic feel to it which leads to really wonder what\'s gonna happen in that 3rd shot. Feels like a complete story in 17 seconds. Simply awesome.
This made me laugh, Pervy is cute. My friend has a hampster that does stuff very similar to this.. and battles with the cat.
To be honest I don\'t get the point of this film. Maybe I\'m missing the point because I haven\'t seen the penguin film. It\'s well shot and edited, though. I like the second scene a lot.
Hardly an imaginative idea - videoing your pet hamster.... What\'s that I hear you all scream?? \'But it\'s soooo cute\'. :-)
I love the shots but I don\'t really like the lighting in them. The first two being too dark and the last one too bright. I love the angle following Pervis in his ball. The music fits very well and the haiku itself is decent. I enjoyed this, nice work Justin.
LVOE the music. I lvoe that this is based on a true story. I enjoy the color correct.
the somber tone of this film made me giggle. the first time i didnt do anythung, the second time i decided to watch it again.. the 3rd time i laughed heartily. good job
Pervis is cute. . . I like the video where he does his jumping trick.
Although I didn\'t vote for this one, I enjoyed it and it grows on me with time. It makes me feel peaceful and happy inside.
