I like it! It's hard to have a secret in a 30 second film, but you did it! You not only made it work, but you even had a message, nice! The reaction of the SUV driver was great, he's obviously encountered this before. Good acting and good foley.

and glad that you caught it's a very "routine" thing for him - that was kinda the point of him being so nonplussed about getting his ass kicked

This is our film! Mike came up with the idea the other day, we thought it was pretty awesome. YES, I realized there are shades of "RECYCULATOR" here - but I don't think it's too bad. Originally the guy was going to say "I invented pop up ads" or something less environmental-ish - but then I realized Earth Day was coming up and I might be able to get some promotion around it - so I did the right thing and SOLD out.

Laurabeth (the girl) is awesome in this, and Doug is GREAT as always! Such a sport to let us cover him in blood. Big ups to the people at our corner market, Quechol, who let us film in there. I love going to new and interesting locations! Brings a lot to the film.

Erik brought some radness with the shooting too! How I love that Canon 7D!!!

We shot the end part at around 11:30 am this morning, the 1st part around 3:30-4:30, and then I edited until 10 pm. We're pretty quick like that.

This is great! You're camera is great, you got loads of people to help out even STEEEEVE! :D And it's actually got a message and is currently relevant, that's not selling out, that's just even smarter! Well done guys!

Interesting editing style. The little extra's were nice with the blood splatter, kicking/hitting sounds. There seemed to be a lack of natural background sound during the opening scene (after he locks his door) like hearing steve and others walking and city sounds. Only noticeable since the sounds come in again as he drives away and at the grocery during the dialogue.

But this was a great piece. Well shot, lots of people involved, good extras, great ending punch and reaction. The animation at the end was my favorite part, with the sound effects and movement it made the end logo really say it's 'that' important. very cool.

ALL STAR CAST, awesome. But to be honest I found the editing on this quite disorienting. Both shots of Steve look like he's about to say something, but the lines were awkwardly cut, and what's with the chanting in the soundtrack? A lot of the quick cuts are way TOO quick to follow, and the punches are so glitchy and unrealistic. Videogamey. I understand that the SUV thing is a reveal saved for the end, but there's no REAL shot of the SUV anywhere in the film, so the audience is never thinking about it. A clearer shot of the SUV would have made us notice it without giving away the ending. That's SMALL TIME make up job compared to what Dougs used to hahaha.

Sadly, a clearer shot of the SUV would have revealed it was not in fact an SUV, but some weird sub-compact car dealy. A ton of SUV's drove past us, but non actually parked on the street we were on. I see what you're saying with the jump cuts and stuff...it's tough fitting in 'bigger' scenes into these 30 second shorts, but that's all part of the challange!

I like the fast punches - I think they add a cool surreal look to it all. We were missing some audio and having some audio issues, so I went with the choice of just the chanting and the punches. The whole thing is kind of silly, so I think it fits just fine in a weird way.

A therapeutic experience to watch, = I also want to hit someone. Nice concept and group picture again. The earth sign up in front maybe.

Fantastic job sirs! Loved seeing Steve Nelson in another video! And I really love that actor, he's been popping up in a buttload of the indymogul shorts and I think he's fantastic. Well shot, perfectly paced. The actual kick to the ass is a little odd though, almost like a dropped frame there to where you almost don't see the impact at all. My only critique.

It didn't look so good when you actually see the kick, cuz it was so fake, so I tried to "fix" it like that

Very nice shots. Some are quick and choppy but you only have 30 seconds. This would make for a nice earth day advert. Good job.
