Okay, sso a lot of awesome stuff happening here. Your AUDIO is killing me though. Killing me! Video looks great, but you have horrible background noise - the girl's voice wasn't ADRed so it sounds terrible. Would love if the meat had some more 'squishy' and gross sounds when it shows up. Really need to gross us out.

When she comes back and you DO adr her voice - it's peaking and there's some weird distortion. You should do all one or the other - or when you ADR it should mix better.

Audio TOTALLY peaking when she's screaming. Audio is faded over itself around the 1:43 mark so it sounds like two of her screaming at once.

I like the creepy audio when the monster is about to appear - shot with him smelling her is awesomeness. At 2:23 you cut back to her and we hear her breathing abruptly cut in - we should hear her in the background the whole time. Adds to the TENSION.

The shot at the end IS SO GOOD!!!! Really really good. Lighting is awesome, so super creepy. Love the concept of this guy like selling meat and getting all these crazy slaves. I like this entry a lot - and it was by far the most true to the 'horror' genre. -- but SON you got some MAJOR audio issues. Let's see if we can work them out in time for FFtv? IM / Email me.

This was awesome and gross.

The opening title card reminded me of the opening titles to "Panic Room" and then the rest of the movie reminded me a little bit of Panic Room but not really. I liked the meat. I liked that the girl wanted to go eat dinner but the dude was like, fuck that I want to get my grub on. Good performances in your eyes. Good acting on your feet. I like when you climbed out I really thought it was gonna be a creepy creature like in "The Thing" but it was still pretty cool to be covered in blood and become this dog thing. I bet that girl isn't going to keep quiet. She'll probably tell someone about that. Kudos all around you are a hero Rad Axe films forever. I hope you win this fight!

Thanks much! It was a lot of fun to film. Zachary (LLinx on here) was a champ during this shoot. We totally messed up the blood recipe and it was way too sticky! I think he came out with a few bald patches here and there. Thanks again for your review mate!

Nice work! The shot selection and composition was great. The audio continuity was a little rough at times and I was a little confused about what was happening when the main character was in the corner behind the table. Other than those two things, I thought it was really well written and well executed. Especially when the camera dolly'ed past the wall to show the passage of time. Great job!

Thanks so much! I was hoping someone noticed that shot! I saw the technique used on "My Name is Earl." They used a black cloth really close to the camera as they dolly past. I did the same and was please with how it turned out. Thanks for the review!

The audio is weird through out this, especially at the begining: her dialog is echoey and his seems dubbed. but the lighting and shots are definately "horror-film." The meat looks gross, the acress has good screams but the audio is too loud and peak-y. Werid creepy ending. Overall, an odd idea, executed pretty well.

Heheh. Thanks for your review. I know it's a strange idea, but still pretty scary in my book. I'm reworking the audio levels today as per Justin's request. And I'll be able to resubmit. Check it out in a couple days and see if you like it any better!

My hat is off. You've been able to create true horror with excellent characters and an even more awesome backstory. Well done.

Thanks for the quick review! Bex is a wonderful actress, I think if she was lacking at all it was because it was rushed. This was Zachary's first time acting, so he did pretty good I think. Anyway, thanks so much!

Positives- Music really punches this up. The physical moves and cuts of the dog were great...sensational eyes and teeth.
Negatives- Very few- hey, empty livingroom! Helpless girl falls down cliche'.
Suggestion- A very fast flashback to the butcher saying it's the best meat you'll ever have. It would have set up the butcher a little better I think, but then, I get to be the Monday morning director. This was overall an excellent film! Nice job!

Thanks for the great, clear review! The music is great I agree, big thanks to videocopilot's Pro Scores for that. I only had to do minor editing to the music. The empty living room is actually my empty holiday room! Lol. I should have put furniture in there, and just didn't think of it. Also, yes a quick flash would have been interesting of the butcher. It would have been cool to see him at the butcher shop too.

I really enjoyed this. I loved how he was covered in blood when he was a "dog" and that shot of him getting really close to the girl and sniffing was just genius. It was really eerie. The part where he was transforming or whatever confused me a bit only because it was a bit dark and I couldn't really make out what all was happening, but overall, this was a great video and my personal favorite entry in this fight.

Thank you very very much! We did try very hard to make a creepy film. The transformation was hard. In all my "genius" I decided he should be in a corner. We didn't light that scene well and the shots were real tight with a real short lens. ANYWAY, thanks again so much!

Love the movie. Love the concept and the twist at the end. Great cinematography as well. I really like the transition behind the wall and the shot of the butcher as he chains up the creature.

Thanks very much for the review! I was pretty proud of the wall transition. Lol. But I was actually afraid that the chaining up shot was too blurry/shaky. Glad you liked it though!

Not much to say about this, it was really good and I think everyone hit the main points. The audio was a little weird in the beginning and when the girl was screaming it was a little too loud to the point where it got distorted. I absolutely loved the behind the wall shot, just really inventive and unique. I appreciated the work put into the creature. It's not often you see something like that. One shot that sticks out to me is when the dog is running and you get a full shot of it. It really portrayed the nature of the creature. The only thing I didn't like was when the dog came out of the person, it looked kind of weird and not very believable. I think maybe you could have used an adaptation of the "blow your actor in half" build from bfx to make a dog coming out of a person effect. I think the person looked a bit unbelievable too, maybe some makeup to make them look sick, and the stomach was just a tad bit overswollen. Don't think I'm saying your video was bad, it was great. I'm really just nitpicking here.

Thanks! I love the review and all the helpful hints! I will have to try the blown in half effect. Maybe use green screen too somehow? Since the actor and the Dog were the same person. We definitely improved the swollen bit, just used couch pillows. Lol. I wish we had more time to plan it out and get some more stuff for it, but overall we're happy with it. Thanks again!!
