Very well shot and cool misdirect. The line towards the end "Say farewell to home...plate" sounded a little goofy, I think it would have worked better if he didn't break down the words, people would still have gotten it.

The older actor was freakin awesome, I'd love to see him in more. The younger actor was good too, but the way he kept looking to the left (darker) side of the room kinda pulled me out of it. Felt like he was looking at something. Dialogue was great. Good buildup and the tension release was pretty funny. Good job switching the look of the film.

Great job!

Your criticism is spot on. The actors here are actually me (Ryan) and my dad. He's never acted before so he'll be pumped you said that. I also noticed i kept looking left and I have no idea why. I didn't notice until post. Thanks for checking it out man.

The acting was great! I think the blocking should have had both guys sitting down eye level and then the older guy standing up at the height of the argument. Great job all in all, cool twist.

I liked this one, the acting was good but the cutting back and forth felt slow.. As in it would go Dads line, cut to son, pause, sons line. I think had the lines been overlapped and the pace picked up it would have come accross less scripted and kept the audience more on edge to what was being said.
The color correcting I also felt was wrong for this, it was too sickly and green giving an ill feeling. The black was good but had the actors been lit with a cold blue to give that bad guy cold heartedness that the misdirection felt like it was aiming for it would have added to it.
But a good idea and bravo to your Dad's first acting job!

This is great. I really love the lighting. The plot is nice too.

Really well acted guys! The juxtaposition of the two types of lighting obviously had a huge effect but what you could've done was have both characters moving around the space more - of course you weren't aiming to create much space anyway for the most part so moving around might not have worked so well just in a dark room, just when the characters move around it can be much more envolving for the audience. Not that this wasn't! No you kept a really good tone throughout and you're really good at playing with the tension so it was already very envolving, just with movement it could have been even MORE super awesome. Nice twist at the end - although I gotta say I didn't get the whole baseball thing immediatly so the home-plate gag didn't make any sense (I had to google it lol) but the glove made it clear enough. Also I'd say Baseball is a sport very closley related to the bond between a father and son so well chosen! Great idea - looks wonderful as always - really well done!
(woah crap I wrote a lot!)
