Nice looking opening shots. Some of the close ups of the dude are pretty out of focus. Ha -- oh man! It's gun time already! Ha - I was so enraptured in that action sequence I didn't write anything! Either that or my flu is starting to eat away at my brain!!! Love the pharmacy location! LOCATIONS are what it's all about!!
Man these guys really love sandwiches. Good shot in the security cam - but might have been better if you actually faked it and held the camera up in the corner and added an effect. HOLY SHIT SWIMMING POOL! Haha. Wow that opening shot was AWESOME.
I was expecting this to take place totally inside their houses, but you threw me for a loop! Underwater cam is cool too. Gotta be brave to do that kind of thing.
Yeah, that was pretty much totally badass. You did the right thing by upping the action with each jump. I've seen a million of these and they always stay inside of someone's house and it's like "okay, yeah, whatever" - this was totally cool. CONGRATS!!!
Thanks Justin i'm glad you liked it and we managed to surprise you. We knew from the beginning that this was going to be a multi location shoot and were lucky we could get all the places we wanted. We had other locations we wanted like the streets of Paris (greenscreened, could have looked dodge but wanted to try) and then to the moon. Just because this video really is random and we wanted everytime to just make you go "No way! They've just been here and now there here!?" Maybe we'll get around to finishing the longer version some time :)
Thanks again for the review! Much appreciated!
ACTUAL locations are much cooler than fake ones so I'm glad you only used real ones.
Ok, I'm tired after watching this. You wore me out! We went everywhere...pharmacy, swimming pool. I didn't get what was causing them to jump and now I'm too tired to worry about it!
Thats a shame, this was not intended to bore or tire the viewer. Exact opposite actually, we wanted to do a ridiculous comedy action mix (obviously) :) The opening shot would have told you all about the 'teleporting,' but it is subtle i know. Well not for you this time but thanks for the review anyway.
Hi Yellowtractor! Hmmmmm So you're tired?
Thanks for the review? Much appreciated :)
gross looking cereal. i'm guessing this is austrailia? the visual effects and sound effects are very good. like the silly justification (or non-justification) for all the violence. this is an action film that goes over-the-top enough to be entertaining the whole way through. turns out to be quite an epic battle. hate the shot of the grenade landing on the carpet though. needs to bounce or something. but anyway, yeah, this is a great entry, headin' to FFTV.
Thanks Jake, Yep Australia. What gave us away? Yea the cereal is not nice...no one eats it, everyone just uses it as a prop :)
Good to have you take on the Grenade landing. We toyed with it a bit, did a bundle of shots with it bouncing but then thought it would be funny to make it land like that, we kind of drew the cards on that one. But thanks again for the review.
Wow! The effects were great! If I had to divide this up and score it I would give the effect a 10/10, the camera work 6/10, the directing 8/10, and the concept and plot line a 5/10.
Thanks for the precise review Krust... but 5/10 for our plot??? Ohhh, whats wrong with our Lack of plot :) haha nah i hear ya, we really went for the action packed, little story, max entertainment on this one.
Thanks for the review, I like that you divided it up. Camera work 6 out of 10 i'll take that... it was just the two of us doing this so that restricted us a bit and we had to get creative with our shooting. You may notice that in the rocket part i fire the rocket the camera pans to Jarrad jumping out the way... not easy with two of us :D
Great stuff! I was enthralled throughout! I can't believe some of the locations you achieved! I can only dream of having access to those types of locations!
You should do really well :)
Yea we were happy with how much a difference actually going out and filming in some good locations made.
Thanks for the review Wezi
That was frickin sweet. Good effects and amazing locations. Loved the fight scenes and the underwater stuff was awesome.
Thanks glad you liked it :D
This was pretty cool. I love a lot of the effects (the grenade landing coulda been better) and the underwater stuff was phenomenal. The POV bits were a little weird, and there didn't seem to be a great reason for the guy not to say anything, but well shot, well acted and I love the bit at the end... "I'll make you another one."
You had some good shots and some quite awkward ones but I thought it was funny and a strong HW. Ending was good.
