What I loved:
WOW the music is SO cute and great on this! The shots are great - him with the bat is hilarious and I love the look of the dude she's cheating on him with. What a goober!
What you could work on:
I almost wish we had some sound effects for all this stuff. The sound of the bus approaching, them kissing, etc etc. I think it works like this too, just a thought. Color correction when he's "depressed" is a bit inconsistent. Wish we would see another puppet girl at the at that he falls in love with.
Overall really really super good and watchable! But I wonder, who was expendable -- was it HIM, or HER??? (maybe depends on your point of view!)
Yes yes yes! I love the fact that you used puppets and used them well. Actually a really touching, cute story, the music attaches the audience. I really felt for him when he found out. I do think it would have been nice to see what he's so happy about at the end, when the color comes back in. Great job all around!
What a wonderful choice of music! So fitting. The "affair" was a surprise! You set it up very well!
is that copywritten music i hear? get it outta there. but it is a cool song. some underlit shots. love the part where he walks in on her with another man-puppet. for the drinking, dont show him put a glass to his mouth... coulda showed him with his head down and a bottle of jack next to him. i also like how this ends on a happy note- but for no reason. he's just a happy guy who gets over his pain quickly. i like this one, good job.
It's not copywritten music, it's royalty free music from incompetech.com! Justin recommended the site!
Hey!
All right, I loved this. The music especially. Do you think you could give me name or send it to me?
I loved the story, and how everything tied together in the end. I didn't really understand some of the interactions with the puppets sometimes though, but I think that's kind of unavoidable.
Really well done!

Sure, the music is available here - http://incompetech.com/m/c/royalty-free/index.html?keywords=harlequin&Search=Search
Not sure when the last time was that I spiraled through so many emotions in the space of one minute, nor can any other dolls short of Toy Story evoke this much emapathy in me.
Everyone else has raved on the music, so I'll let it out of my own review. This is an interesting look at "reciprocal expendability"- in the closing moments he realizes that maybe he didn't need the girl after all.
If I was an analytical freak I'd go into the idea of being a puppet, but instead I'll take the film film at face value, and say that I loved it.
Hey, I loved your film. It was very funny, imaginative, and told a great story, all without the use of dialogue. A film that can be told with just the visual is a sign of a good film. Keep up the great work! I also loved the puppets!
What a great story! Loved the camera work and editing! I think you could have improved on the lighting! Especially when they are in the outside locations.. paris etc. Great entry!
Loved the sound track and you puppets! I could see the end of a finger when the girl is eating though. The shot where the rose get dropped could have been very easly better lit so thats bad. The ending was random but nice and the colour and music change work very well.
Very charming film but i feel that the expendable message is not very obvious
I don't understand what's so expendable about it. This would have made a better mute video. How ever, this film had better acting than most "love and loss" movies today.
I give it a 7.5 out of 10.
