Great shots at the start! Love the sound effect when the dude pops out of the bushes! Wish the sound of the hand hitting the pavement was more convincing. Also, the evil dude clearly has sneakers on! Not scary at all, haha. Maybe if he had barefeet?

Love that you can have babies in your movies, ha --- very hard to get babies when you're my age in nyc!!!!

Yea, we have big families early over here! Glad you liked the shots. I was a little worried about the sneakers, I actually wanted him to wear his boots, but we forgot them and had no time to run back and get em. I just chalked it up to the guy wears whatever he finds. Barefeet coulda worked though! Thanks!

Or I could just black out the white soles. That might work... Then again we're thinking about expanding the idea of this film and making a much longer one for youtube. We'll just do the costume over... We'll see. Hah!

I have an INKling of what may have inspired your film! Nice reveal of the baby...hey, a REAL baby!

AvatarRandomAxe
Reviewed on August 4th, 2010

Well he certainly LOOKS real! Lol, naw he's my youngest. Oh and INK! I actually never got to finish watching that, and didn't think of it til you mentioned it. I can definitely see the (very close!) similairity. Actually the story is sorta inspired by Rumplestiltskin. Except in this story he gives the babies back if the parents are willing to give up something else.

Hey Alex!

I really liked this. It was SO EERIE! I like that. The ending was touching and everything else came together really. No problems!

Hey Ethan thanks! Glad you thought it was eerie, sorta the feeling I was going for. I need better lighting, I think a night time city alley would have been a better locale but we don't have strong enough lights... yet. Thanks again!

I found the opening shot absolutely immense, but felt the rest of the film wasn't able to keep up as a result. Although that could be more because how intriguing I found the opening. Thought the make-up was great too, and the fact you have access to little ones means you have plenty of scope for opportunities!

Hah! Yea I actually thought the same. The opening was the last thing I shot and when I edited it I felt like it almost didn't fit. But I really didn't want to sacrifice it. Yea the babies help. Lol. I'm creating my own production company... no, literally creating it.

I had no idea what to expect from this one. When I saw the zombie-hooded guy, I thought of the guy from RE4 the game, who sells you stuff, and Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars. However, the film was totally the opposite of what I was thinking it would be. The film work was great, with good sound, visuals, editing, and shots/angles. My only issues were with the story. Although this was a cool idea, it just does not work for a 1 minute film. I mean, why does this guy want a hand? Why did the zombie guy take the kid? There's just too many questions...it kind of felt like the end of the film, rather than a whole film. I would love to see a longer version though. Keep up the good work.

Heheh. Yea, it's definitely a longer story packed into a minute. I'm really glad you like the work that was put into it. It is something I would like to develop into a longer film. We'll see.

This was great. It really made you wonder what this creature had that belonged to this man, and who's hand that was. It's good when a minute long film can pose questions, and deliver great answers in such a short time. Great!

Hey Thanks! I was pretty worried it wouldn't make sense in such a short amount of time. Glad you got it.

Thought it was great! I really enjoyed it. I thought the make up and wardrobe was great on the...well...whatever he was. And I just become a bigger fan with each video. And Alex, you're acting was really not that bad! haha

Yea, I think the look of him was my favorite part of this one. We had fun designing it as we went. I know that there are people with worse acting than me, I'm just incredibly picky and prefer someone who's better at it. Lol. And hey! Glad you're a fan! Thanks!
