AWESOME opening shot! Snag them from the start! The VO seems a bit 'dead' --- with it had more emotion. All the shots in this are awesome. I hear copyright inception music -- BOO ON COPYRIGHT! The shots of people filming are cool. I like that you teased the alien attack. Colors in the elevator are great.

Why are your flame effects going in and out? Seems weird?

SUMMARY: Thought this was awesome, opening shorts were short and beautiful, just like a teaser you gave us good action but only in little spurts to make us want to see the whole thing! Great stuff!

Thanks for the feedback. This only our second time entering film fights, so were just glad we made it into the heavyweights. There is a ton of talent here, and we are glad to be a part of this community.

Really good but not very Grindhouse. Not too sure what was going on with the flame effect in the hallway, very weird. Loved the shots from the camcorder though.

The Grindhouse theme was tough for us because there was a concern that if we attempted to make a B movie, we would make a D+ movie at best, lol. The flames issues is some weird glitch that happened during the render in After Effects. I was worried I would miss the deadline to enter the contest and didn't correct it. Thanks for the comments though.

I think it was good. I didn't think this was a grindhouse movie. Maybe a 2010 version of some B-movie. Good shooting. Music was good (even you used copyright music). Ending zombie face was so COOL.

I didn't like this so much beacause I thinked I was watching something between "Cloverfield" and some zombie movie. It was avrage but something missed here. 6/10

Looked very clean and professional. Nice work. Worthy of Heavyweight position.

This was good. I like the shot selection, and I actually did get a very 28 days later feeling from it. Very impressive. I also think the special effects in the elevator and on the dead guy were well done. The flames appearing and dissapearing are a good idea, but unfortunately they don't look that good. The zombie face warp looked GREAT.

My only real problem with this movie is that it wasn't very grindhousey. It wasn't cheesy enough. Normally thats a good thing, and you did a great job doing a trailer for a serious horror movie, but it doesn't really fit the grindhouse feel in my opinion. Good luck though, and keep making movies cuz you're good at it.

I really enjoyed this entry. I wish that you would've put a classic Grindhouse/distorted look while editing. It felt more like a "this day and age" film. But why can I hold that against you when you guys did an incredible job?! I thought the effects were spectacular. Especially the face of the zombie at the end. INCREDIBLE. Narration could've been a bit better. Did seem a bit "dead" but then again he's telling the story of how he just went through all this so wouldn't you feel a little dead too? I know Justin hates copywrite music but it was great music selection. If this was an actual movie, I would definitely check it out. BRAVO! 4/5 STARS!

I really like this film, but it just wasn't Grindhouse-esque, so it feels like it missed the point of this fight.

With that aside, it was a good film with some parts that were kind of grindhouse (the footage on the camera) but it looked more like a modern day film.

Great movie though! You should make it into a feature since everyone's saying that they'd want to see it lol

To be fair, it was also under the umbrella of a "B-movie" in the description of the fight, so this feels more "B-movie" than grindhouse

This one was the least fun of all of them. It looked very clean and professional but wasn't enjoyable to watch. Instead of coming accross as a B movie that knew it was cheesy it felt way to serious to get into. Though some good shots and cuts at the start with the narration.. Godo face effect at the end, the other effets not so keen on.

Well made, with some good shots but just not grindhouse. Horror for sure tho, and done great.

Great idea, filming was decent. I think the acting let it down a little bit, as did the use of effects. The music was good but the video and the music didn't work well together. I think if it had faster video it would have been great...or slower music if you get my drift.
