This was going so well.... you had great exposition and I was wondering what he'd find in the desert....then... the plastic pistol-shoot-someone-for -no-explained-reason..... weak ending.

Some nice camerawork, great locations.
The audio isn't up to par, and the editing isn't great either, with random transitions and cuts that distract. The acting is pretty bad too. That's what I'd work on. The sound, editing, and acting.
The rest is nice. The script works well.

I really dig the opening shot, but I was a little put off by the wind noise on the mic. The hand held shots could have benefited from a fig-rig or inexpensive home made version of one. Other than that really nice job. I dig the shot of the digging shovel too. :)

Wind noise!!! It's the devil! Avoid the wind noise as much as you can re-record stuff that has noise on it. What's with the flashing light in the background? Your audio is a bit overblown sounding - I'm glad you re-recorded this stuff - I'm sure it was windy or just bad before, so it's good you took the time to make it listenable.

Main actor seems emotionless. Intentional?

Good location, in the desert!!! Locations are so important!

Acting is really bad on this, sorry! Location and shooting are decent. Plot was confusing. Just work on the acting but lots of stuff here that's a cut above the rest of the mws.

I know I HATE wind. It's hard to avoid this time of year. We had tons of audio problems because our digital audio recorder decided to be extra stupid. I'm investing and getting myself a new one for my birthday. As for the flashing lights in the background. I have no idea. We call it the Satan window. Our actor was really into it before we had to reshoot everything because our other actor decided she wanted to drop out. So we reshot everything and Dillon was just out of it and annoyed.
