compression is a bitch ain\'t it?
this basically reminded me of the chase scene in Freddy vs. Jason
minus the idiot with the water of course
and a slight refrence to Blair Witch Project
overall, I didn\'t see the point to this film until the very end
but even then I was confused
trapped in a wheatfield vortex?
symbolism is obviously a key in this film
but I\'ll give you props for the fire effect at the end haha

I liked it. It kept my attention till the end, and it wsn\'t ovr done nice job.
I don\'t know why, but long shots without reason bug me for some reason.
I think this running could of been cut down, and the shots could of been more intense and personal.
Maybe I\'m lost? Because I didn\'t seem to understand what was going on. I know that a scarecrow started chasing a dude, but why didn he get scared and start running in the first place?
I liked the cutting between the scarecrow and him running, mixed with the main character on the cross. That\'s how the entire movie should of been shot, in my opinion. That would of made this a lot better.
The storyline was pretty neat, but I think it would of been cool to go into detail about the scarecrow, and a little less about a guy getting chased.
I think the countdown at the beginning was unneeded.
Scarecrows are scary so this movie already has me freaked out. Im definitely getting a nightmare-ish vibe from this one.
I think it would have been really effective to cut the sound of him running and leave in the wind and heartbeat.
The zoom was very awkward. Nice music to go with it.
Excellent cuts of him as he\'s running around. The music fits well, too.
It looks lke he\'s laughing when the scarecrow walks up to him. I thinkt he yellow sparks looked really cheezy and the phone shot didnt seem to fit, either.
The beginning was great, but this one started to go downhill after the chase scene.
Yeah! The chase scene is cool!
i like the black and white corn, the heart beat was a little too expected, the sudden swith to camera sound was not a good one at all, work on the transition and sound quality, i like the first person shots however, i def like the film tho, sum different shots, ideas, i def didnt expect him to show up on the cross thingy, i would say keep up the writing portion, work on the sound and special effects, the fire was downright retarted, i give it a 6 out of 10
OK this was probably one of the better entries on here this week. Definitely liked the shots in the cornfield and the guy being chased by the scarecrow. Felt like some elements of "Evil Dead" in this one, with the camera cruising through the cornfield in a POV.
Sounded like you were doing some modifications with the sounds as the guy walked through the cornfield, which was cool.
Only concern that I have is that you could have cut this down by half and I think it could have been a better entry. A little too much running around, and a shorter entry would have made us feel more of a "panic" like the main actor did. Also lose the lighting bolts shooting out from his hands.
But overall good job, one of the best entries this week.
It was an interesting film. Opening shot where the corn blew in the wind rocked!. It would be cool to see him get lost in a wind storm.
The 1st person perspective is great. Some angles were a little weird and editing was kind of choppy.
Sound wise it was okay. The corn rassling kinda annoyed me. You could have probably treated it as a foley so you can turn it down. it was kinda loud.
Good Job!
the black and white was a perfect effect for this, as well as the first person pov added to the franticness felt in a nightmare.
the scarecrow is scary too, i liked the idea of them both changing places.
i liked how the editing reflected the music well, and i enjoyed how the sound was completely cut out when he was being chased too, i think that added a sort of heartpounding within the audience itself.
i think it was a bit too long though, alot of the running could have been cut down because it got a bit repeditive.
i totally understood what you were going for as a whole though, and ill look forward to more of your films
The nightmare was I was stuck in the cornfield, First couldnt find a way out. Then, returned to the same place over and over, then thought i saw help but it started chasing me. Kept seeing the scarecrow then myself on the cross. Had a cellphone but no signal. I liked the way it was put together. The video and audio are sketchy much like the nightmare. Thank you MIDGET PICKLE PRODUCTIONS
why the hell was there a countdown? VERY choppy video. you guys must be fairly new to filming/editing. but its not unwatchable. on the other hand, the story content was a little weak. a guy running through corn for 4 minutes. so what? to be honest the part where the scarecrow first appeared kinda scared me. so i got my hopes up. the part where the crow shoots fire.... i have no idea what to think of that. you guys jsut gotta work on your technical stuff- better cuts, better angles, better editing (especially in the audio department- you can\'t just CUT audio completely, you have to keep a fair balance throughout the WHOLE FILM- so few amatuer filmmakers understand that). the tiniest audio problem messed up your whole films credibility. anyway, good job, keep on truckin ya\'ll!
wow. that was cool. great job. shit, i dont know what else to say, i really liked it. the lighting was good, the idea was good, the effects were used sparingly, which i liked a lot. nice timing on the mucis, too. that really took it up a nothc. there were a couple times where you bumped the camera which detracted from the otherwise awesome quality. i didnt understand the whole bit with the fire on the scarecrowshands and the cell phone, but no biggie there. great entry!
p.s. i dont recognize your name from the forums. if you havent already, you should join and post. im really looking forward to more of your entries.
Good job. definately captured the whole nightmare feel. Liked the audio blend- imagery and the editing worked well to capture the mood. You should feel proud of this entry.
An excellent example of a good film with little props and low budget.
I\'ll be honest. As soon as I saw the countdown I was scared.
But when you guys opened with the shot of the corn swaying in the wind, you instantly redeemed yourself. Your location kicked ass.
I think the beginning could be trimmed down a lot, but our crew was guilty of the same crime this week. This entry defiantly kept my attention until the end, but the audio could use a little work. And I didn\'t get the fire either.
Good entry, hope to see more.
