Hey man that was cool.BUT....I think to make the reality of the \"dream World\" seem more real, I think you should have kept the cool 8mm scratch sepia tone film look throughtout the film, merged with the black and white, would have kick ass. But that just me bro.

Good job with everything else, and nice editing! You have this one scene where the girls says the ashes poem, and then you cut to black zoom in and it\'s in black and white. That was awesome, no lie.

Yeah this one is ours. The songs used are actually from an Evanescene unreleased demo CD that we edited together, and I think it turned out well.

Seeing the movie on the small screen, I wish we would have fixed the brightness on the shot of the mourners and the priest looking down at the ground.

I especially like the clouds going forward and reverse, a very cool shot. I also really like the dreamer walking in between the priest and the mourners on the way to her grave.

This movie is supposed to be about her dreaming about her death, something we've all experienced. Personally I don't buy into the theory that we have to tell some grand story. It's a nightmare and a dream and it's not supposed to make sense. If it did it would be a normal linear story, and that's boring.

Technically speaking, you guys are very proficient (sp?) when it comes to filmmaking. Your sets and costumes, props, etc... always look professional. However, you seem to lack the most fundamental part of filmmaking in your movies: storytelling. All that really cool stuff that you do that I love, like the fancy filters and stuff... that\'s secondary guys. Tertiary even. And even though this is a trippy, dream-like, avant-garde type entry... there still has to be some sort of semblence of a story and/or meaning. purpose.

The only thing I was able to interpret out of this, was a woman dreaming about her death, and witnessing her own burial... What was the artistic intent of that though? What are you trying to say to the viewer? Throwing a bunch of powerful images together (clocks, crucifixes, headstones, roses, etc.) with cool effects and electronic music doesn\'t make something artistically complete. You need to give everything \"purpose\". Fading from black/white into color is neat, but what\'s the artistic purpose? What\'s it symbolize? And you know, maybe you guys DID have a really clever message in there and it was just WAY over my head, ... but I\'ve got a hunch that there wasn\'t much thought put into that department. That being said, I think there is some really great raw talent in Five Clover Films. You guys just need to sort out your priorities, and tell us great stories before you show us cool images...

I must say, this was beautifuly shot, but it really lacks a story line so It left me confused. Also switching in and out of black and white confused me because I didnt understand what was reality wand what wasnt. Overall nice work but, You could have used a better story line. Why is she all blood? Where does the preist come in?

Very nice job on composing your shots. Some thought went in to making this and it shows. Short and well made.

Technically, this one was very nice, good shots, good editing, good sound (for as little as there was), but the execution of the story felt a little weak and rushed.

Overall, it was good, but I was left feeling slightly let down with the story.

I thought this was funny for some reason. Everything was well done. It kind of reminded me of some kinda righteous spiritual crusade. The only thing I really did not like was mabye the rose smacking me in the face. I was not sure if that was a shot of the rose falling or it being placed down onto something. I am sorry, this was great and I can\'t think of anything but small details like the rose.

I have to say I love absolutely lOVE the quality of thius film, the opening music really set the theme.. unfortunately I am like feardrop... I just didn\'t care for it I can\'t give you a definitive reason why and I apologize for that, now that I sit here and think for a moment I belive it is a matter of fluidity... the progress of the shots don\'t seem to mesh just right

overall it was shot very well good sountrack fair editing (cept for the 16mm shot which was briliant)

good just not my cup o\' tea

I found no problems with this one. The music set the tone for me and went along with the dream quite well. I liked the shot of the clouds and variations added for the transitions. Unlike feardrops review, I\'m not expecting any dialogue to be included for any submissions this round since it relates to having dreams.

For some reason, and I can\'t for the life of me figure it out, your guys\' films just don\'t interest me. I rarely find meaning in most of them, and I don\'t know why. It seems like you guys put a lot of effort into a final product, I just don\'t like it. I think you need to start making more dialogue-based films, and work on your shot techniques. There isn\'t anything interesting in these, just straight forward shots. I can\'t really critique the acting, because there isn\'t much to it when there isn\'t any dialogue.

Sorry for the harsh review guys.

Great editing. Lighting was right on and visuals were interesting.

I didn\'t understand your concept until you explained it in the forums. So it wasn\'t really clear on what you were trying to show.

It was good over all.

i really liked how the lighting affected the overall tone of the film. the music was effective as well.

to be more specific, i really loved the mystery the flashlight created, it felt like you were discovering everying as he was.

the shot at the end with all the zombie type things in front of the parking lot looking place was absolutely fantastic, the choice of black and white really brought out a good shadow effect with the bodies.

i would agree with the hulk180 here, in that less is really more, and in a few shots it lost the intensity when there was too much light shining on the zombie\'s clothes and it made it seem more human i guess.

overall though, this one of my faves so far, its a very strong entry

as ever, Five Clover Films, this film is your usual display of superb cinemotography and editing... mixed with a non-existant story line. you dont do humor much, i guess, and your videos are always heavyhanded in there melodrama. it\'s hard for me to think of what you need to do to get better- your editing and camera work are already a step above alot of the film fighters here. but you need better stories. really, anyone can collage cool shots into a musical montage of sorts. its the essence of the film that matters. granted, you make some pretty moody atmospheric musical collages, but i\'d like to see a real solid storyline. i\'ve already watched you improve so i\'m sure the improvements will continue, but, as i said, my gripe is the lack of story.

YEAH!!! thats a nightmare. i liked it. it was technically put together well and CREEPY!!! it looks like it could be a comercial for a silent hill/resident evil type of video game. this is the first one i watched, so i dont know how other people did tackling the nighmare concept, but i do know you guys hit it right on the nose. if i could have changed anything, i would have taken the sepia out of your aged film filter. i think it would have looked better slightly desaturated or black and white. but thats just my preference, do your own thing. A+++ seller. would do business with in the future.

Hey- something different. Usually you guys hit us with a great peice of writing and good acting. Here\'s an example of using the critism you get well. An artsy peice that shows off your improved editing skills is your entry this week. Nice to see you step it up a notch technically. Good job. I love watching FF\'s get better with their gear.

The overall feel of the film was great. I liked the shots you chose, and I thought the audio was mixed together very well.
One thing I would say is that It seemed like the jumps from b/w to color were just random. I would of liked them to of meant something, or had a purpose.
But that is only a minor gripe.

Great job

Not sure if I know what happened or is happening. I do like the visuals and music though. Also I think the pacing is nice and quick.

Interesting work. Keep it up.
