Killer beer in the trunk.
I do love love the border patrol and the fact that the monster is just a Mexican. I was boring.
haha, i love you guys. Can\'t wait to see the storyline of the next one.
Well, NTS fell apart. So a new group was formed...you can read the rest on the group page if you\'re interesting in the history.
I totally agree with Jeremy. Sound was definitely a problem. People were definitely a little camera shy. Lighting could have been better in pretty much every scene. We would have like to elaborate more with regard to the script but we had to cut stuff out because of the looming deadline and time constraints. Smoother transitions between shots.
Overall, pretty much everything could have been done better and we plan on accomplishing that in future fights.
Very good overall! The editing\'s a little rough in places, and the dialogue is hard to hear over the background music. There\'s an annoying hum in a few scenes. I got a good chuckle when you see the \"monster\" at the end. All in all, not a bad flick!
ok. this was pretty good for a first entry (sorry if its not your first, but i didnt recognize you). overall the story was good and it was paced pretty good. there were a couple things i think you could have done to take it to the next level. first off, sound. my suggestion is, when you are editing, watch the whole thing with your eyes closed and just listen. if you notice stuff that dont sound right, fix it. it might be that you need to explore your editing program more. if that is the case, (well, either way) i recommend joining the forums. there are a lot of people in there that know thier stuff and would be happy to help you. second, and i guess this kinda goes with sound, make sure your actors speak up. if this is the first film you shot, then everyone was probably a little camera shy. just shooting a few movies will help it. be a demanding director, tho. if you think someone sounded quiet or not that good, do another take. last, but definately not least, LIGHTING. it probably looked better when you shot that when you edited. its hard to get lighting right, but practice and make an effort. an extra lamp in a room will help quite a bit, but some shop lights or whatver you can get your hands on will make a vast improvement. then you can work on reducing shadows, reflecting lights, ect. please dont think im cutting your film down, im just trying to be helpful. i think you showed some serious potential and i love to see groups get better. rock on!
*EDIT* i did't realize you have been around for awhile, so i feel like an ass...sorry.
so..
he shot the fly
then he ate it
haha, i liked it
great animation
That was entertaining. You had some basic technical problems, but overall you pulled off a fun little movie. Good to see a new face in the FFing ring. You definitely had an interesting take on the theme for this week!
Dean Martin, The Beatles.... interseting choice of music. I guess you can\'t go wrong with the classics.
I know you guys probably don\'t think that you\'re being directly racist with this short, but you are. I can\'t really give you any comments that will help because this one just doesn\'t work for me, sorry.
