Could you email me a downloadable version of your film? Upload it to drop.io or something like that please (it\'s for my review show I\'m making)

Here are my QUICK notes on the video.

I love the lighting. I love the black and white - the first couple shots are great. I think the lead actor looks the part - LOVE the casting. May not be the most amazing actor but I love his look! It\'s great. I don\'t feel so great about using the on-board camera light in the later scenes, but I understand you gotta do what you gotta do.

Also think you did a great job on the muzzle flashes.

I\'ll have a full video review once I get that FILE!

Thanks for your comments.

And yes, the later scenes I agree with on the lighting and I am not entirely happy with it. But it was a location shoot, very last minute, and in an area we probably shouldn't have been filming. So we didn't bring much in terms of lighting setup. There were actually cop cars passing by on and off, and we were running around with toy guns and one of us in a mask. Lol. It was interesting.

I'll email you the video as soon as I get to reduce the file size so I don't have to pay to upload it.

Very glad you decided to put this into black and white. The lighting is excellent in the beginning of the film especially when the detective is in silhouette but as the movie continues, the lighting begins to get very spotty which makes for annoying images. This may have been on purpose but next time try to find a fill light and back light in order to produce a more realistic image rather then something that looks like it should have been shot on stage. The most important aspect of a black and white film is the lighting because of the absence of color, and you seem to dull down your lighting much too much and camera spotlights are pretty gross. Music is very appropriate though. Some of the shots are a tad out of focus (not sure if this was because of the compression process or because you just didn’t focus your lens but think about that more next shoot). Great shot with the shadow of the victim hanging. Continuity issues at some points as to where a character should be entering screen especially as the detective chases the dude in the mask. They both should enter into frame the same way. The acting is pretty good for amateurs and I really enjoy the story as a whole.

Platt22, see my reply to Justin on the matter of lighting. Kind of funny, no? And we intended there to be continuity errors in the chase scene. It was meant to be humorous, but I'm not sure the chase came off as intentional as we intended. Thank you for your critique and compliments.

Good movie. I just don\'t think enough people are going to get the internet humor. I\'ll save the rest of my comments for the review show my group\'s cooking up.

Thanks, Bryan. And yes, I figured the inside jokes might be an issue. But we decided to enter the contest towards the end of the month and just rolled with our first decent idea. Next contest we enter we'll start at the top of the month and take our time.

You sir, have done the very best out of all of us in regards of lighting. No one else in my opinion has captured the shadow and dark film noir look better than you. Main actor and the actor playing anonymous very natural delivery. Who doesn\'t love a good pedo bear joke? Great writing! \"I did it for the lulz\" should be in the \"on the waterfront\" remake starring you guys. Everyone else is yelling at you for the audio so I think you got the message. Very enjoyable, all around A!

Thanks a bunch, man! We really put the best effort we could on those scenes' lighting. "On the Waterfront" remake starring us... LOL. That would frighten me. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it. This was a very complimentary review from last month's winner. Looks like between the two of us we have each weight-division covered for comedy this month, eh?

Witchi is my uncle\'s last name. HEHE. I am diggin\' hard contrasts. Noooo, don\'t hang yourself, funny hat guy. The shadow of that dude\'s pony tail is neat. Great music choice. Original score? Uh, oh. The V for Vendetta guy. Ah, shit. Another twist ending. He should have said \"I did it all for the Nookie.\" Not really, cause that song sucks.
