Shit! My review I was writing just got erased --- fucking browser. I\'ll start again.
This dude has an awesome beard. I loveeee the sound effect of WHAM when he slams the map down. I feel like your camerawork is kind of confused and drifty in this opening scene. Much better IMO to show him slamming down the map, and then cut to his face isntead of trying to pan up. Lots of panning when still shots look much better. Beautiful shot of the bottle before they leave the room.
These guys love to say \"mate\" !
I LOOOOOOOooooveee the animated sequence and the voice over! And the music. Wonderful, just wonderful. Cephalapodic trogloadyte, nice.
Good audio of the river fading in after he says \'shrinkage mate\' - slow motion shot of the shoes hitting the water ... brrr ... wet feet. Ha -was that star wars music.
The classic rock-y kinda stuff is great for this montage. SUCH A GREAT SHOT at 2:30
2:48 this montage is GREAT.
3:13 - wow, disturbing! ha
3:38 - you hold a second too long at the bushes. Just me being picky.
Oh kiwis ... they will forever be hobbits. Ha.
4:19 - color correction glitch? 4:28 - LOVE the zoom in. Beautiful. Good sound effects too. I love the glinting effect - subtle enough. Ha! What a twist. Get fucked. LOL. Ha!
Dude, Raleigh, you are the shit. Have I mentioned that before? You\'re the shit dude. We need to work together on something again soon.
Love the crazy homeless pirate guy thing... Sorry, grizzled hobo.
Haha! Very funny. Great color and very stable pans.
Well done on the slow mo. Used dramatically to make with the funny.
Haha at the bridge. You guys don\'t look too wet.
Awesome music! Beautiful scenery and landscape.
Love the man on man action. Great use of cross fades with the beautifully textured and animated map.
I love 4:35 very tim and eric or ren & stimpyisk.
Great job, you got my vote if I wasn\'t so god damn greedy.
I actually stumbled across your film a few weeks ago on Vimeo. And I enjoyed it again. So the first point you score with me is re-watchabilty, which I think is very important for internet films.
I\'m not going to say too much as my group is likely going to do a video review of this fight since we didn\'t have the time last month to participate in it.
I will say this though.. the hobo scores major points with us. Good film.
Okay, hold on... I need to ask, WHAT is that song in your ending credits? I really like it.
Great picture and lighting. I would be scared of that pirate. Is that Sam Adams. I like this British dudes accent. Way to go on the old pub setting. SHRINKAGE - HA! What kind of camera are you using? Holy shit, that lake is beautiful. Real lens flare is a nice touch. Can I get that mushroom man tree\'s number? Should I know these dudes? They look familiar. OH snap, it\'s the Hoff! Cool map, btw.
Wow man, wow.
Excellent f\'n video!
This is the best I\'ve seen in a while on this site. Excellent shots, fantastic editing, and great audio.
Mix all that in with a silly story and good humor and you\'ve got a winner. Love the bum, great acting. Love the bridge/lake gag, nice spin on an old joke.
Nice, a bottle of Jack is where it\'s at.
Gotta love New Zealanders what with Conchords and all.
Don\'t hassle the Hoff! Great gag!
Excellent video guys, definitely the winners!

Hahah I\'m stoked from all the good reviews, glad you guys liked it :p, I totally appreciate all the comments and feedback.
-Responding to Jeremy and CharmingNewProductions, the camera we used is an HVX200 with a redrock micro.
-The end song is \"Play that Saxaphone dance remix\" by Tyler Straub
-Unfortunately you can\'t get Old Man Mushroom\'s number because he is a Pedophile tree that you should stay away from.
-All of our actors were my british kiwi mates, who weren\'t actually actors, but just good friends on a road trip making a movie.
Thanks again for the comments, you guys rock!
-Raleigh Latham
The Cinematography, Lighting, and Color in this is just top notch. It looks like really great professional work here, and i\'ve got to commend you on that.
The only major issue I have with this is some of the line delivery was a bit weak and it sounded like they were reading off of cue cards a few times. The Bearded Hobo was fantastic, and had a lot of great expressions and actually had some great line delivery, but I think that the main characters could have been a bit better.
Still, it was really funny, and technically awesome even if it was a bit weak with some of the line delivery.
I was hoping to save my comments for a review show, but it doesn\'t look like I\'ll get around to doing one for July.
First off, VERY NICE camera and great acting on behalf of the bum. I understand that you\'re trying to parody the various movies you pulled the music from, but using non-indie music or non-original music is a big negative in my eyes. Where did you shoot the bar scene? That looked real old timey.
02:10 The guys should have looked WAY soggier. I loved the bridge gag though.
You had some gorgeous scenes in that montage that followed. On the map, you should have figured out some way that the line following the arrow wouldn\'t have gotten so jaggy.
The tongue in the tree and LOTR gag was not funny at all to me.
04:30 That chest wasn\'t very well concealed, but as seen in my road trip movie, not everything needs to make sense in a comedy.
I didn\'t care for the Hasselhoff gag. I think you could have came up with something much funnier or more shocking than a half naked guy in the box.
I agree with Wee Scogg\'s review in that your technical aspects are right on the money, but the story should be beefed up a bit. I felt the acting was fine. Friends are all most of us have to work with and just the fact they got in front of a camera shows balls on their part.
