Oh Himler! Haha. I wish that you actually got an interview with them now ... in the present time. But yes, there\'s been a lot of drama here that\'s for sure. And there will be more. And it\'ll always be kind of hilarious. Nothing beats the outrage of little Himler and his H2 and his HD camera that everyone (including me) was jealous of.

On a technical note, audio quality on this ain\'t too hot, and I would have probably suggested shooting this with a monitor in the BG that had a film fights logo on the screen. Then you can skip all the green screen hassle (which just ends up looking worse) and get some nice lighting going on without worrying about the key.

This is one of the more lame videos that I\'ve made. This weekend I had to shoot this film and another for a campus festival that\'s due tomorrow, so I kind of had quickly shoot this one before shooting the film festival. I agree with Justin on the green screen part, but it\'s pretty easy to chroma key, it just is a bitch to render. Regardless, I got some really good practice out of it :D
Originally, I wanted this to be like something from Tim and Eric Awesome Show: Great job. Where they do those fake documentary pieces, but i lost steam while shooting it.
Oh well! I\'m just happy to being on Film Fights again! Oh and expect a new video in the next fight :D <3

Totally - I always think that if you can save some time and not have to worry about keying it's better for everyone and looks crisper. No key is better than an average to subpar key!

Robert drives a Lamborgini, now. Not even kidding. Wonder how much shit he would have taken for that, if he has still at Film Fights.

Danielle! It\'s great to see you again. I really dug this. I like the history lesson. I love hearing how people begun making movies. The Himler wars were indeed a rough time for Filmfights. I would\'ve shot something about it. But, I figured it was a bit too soon. Too fresh in every ones memories. I still have night terrors about it sometimes. Nice Ninja Films reference. I hope to see you in the next fight.

Haha very nice little bit of history that I as a newcomer had no idea of. It sounds like this Himmler kid was as bad as Heinrich Luitpold Himmler, the feared Nazi of which the film fight\'s hell raiser shares a name with. Very funny and very cool for the vets I\'m sure.

Wow, I think we would get a long with those Himler guys. Great green-screening and compositing. Very suspenseful narrative and music.

I really wish you said "Rats off to ya" to Hippojuice lol!

Thanks for the awesome review show! It takes a lot of work and you did a reeealy awesome job!
Lol it's kind of agonizing to watch someone else watching your film haha, especially a crummy one, but I'm soo happy I got some laughs out of you :D
Oh and it's defiantly a documentary haha, these guys really do exist.

See you this Halloween!

It's funny how you and I approached this fight with such similar styles. Because I did some of the same stuff, I have some ideas for you. I don't know if you have access to a lavalier microphone, but that would have helped your audio sound less distant. It was good that you shot different camera/zoom distances during the interview, so you could avoid jump cuts, but you still ran into a few. That's why, when I have to shoot myself, especially when I don't trust that I can make it through a long script, I usually do the whole thing twice, once for each camera angle. Or, in the case of this fight, I had four primary angles, so I tried to plot out in advance when I would cut to each one in the script, to identify jump cuts early. Also, to call less attention to the green screen, when you cut from the medium to the close-up, you could also zoom the background, and maybe blur it to make it look out of focus. That way you can almost fake the idea that there's actually something behind you, also changing when the camera changes.
