Girls in bikinis are cool and I like the green screening, but the audio quality sucks and it seems unfinished - even though it\'s late ... there should be some kind of sound effects with the after fx stuff is going on, and some kind of voice over or something during the sequences with just the text.

I like the Bryan Fox impression. As I said, all in all I like it, but it could have used like another hour to fully complete it and do up some little things, especially audio things.

Yeah, your right. I was rushing since it was late and everything. But the special effects are missing that sound that really sell them.

I loved the "delete the cookies" part, but there should have been some way to hide the fact that the girls' legs are cut off.

That was silly fun, something I talked to Justin about our films missing. Sometimes you just gotta have fun, it\'s a good way to resolve all problems. But please, don\'t hurt each other, last time I was having fun my friend had his leg ripped off by a bear.

I was planning on making a review show for this fight so this is the only one I\'ve watched so far for obvious reasons. This was actually pretty cute. I actually thought you guys had been shamed into leaving the site since it took you so long to submit. Maybe I should go back and film my \"To Catch a Poser\" skit submit it last minute.

Why would we be shamed to leaving anything. Here to stay.

You know it just dawned on me. "Manly chicks" was supposed to be a reference to arkoftruth's insult. Sorry ark, but I'd take a laser beam from them any day of the week.

Also, what is it that we're fighting with on the rooftop?

Reviewed on October 15th, 2009

Haha, nice catch. On the rooftop we are fighting with tripods, you can't really see it too well but at the end that is suppose to be a tripod slowly getting longer towards your face.

Wat? Sorry I've never seen any of your films before so I had no idea what to expect. The audio really made it hard for me to finish. I'm just not exactly sure what this video is all about... Also when exporting make sure you go into the "size" settings before exporting and put into something close to 16:9, if you leave it to "current settings" it sometimes will put it in 4:3. I'm still new to this too, but it happens

Loveisblind, while your video was a lot about PAST filmfights events, hippo's was actually more of a weird artsy update on what was going on now, haha, so I guess we've got a nice 'circle of life' thing on.

For those who don't know, this movie is about the feud that Hippojuice and myself that has gone on for the past few months. I accused Hippojuice of cheating by deleting their cookies and revoting when I found out this was possible (hence the flashback). Hippojuice then commented that my family was starving and couldn't keep food on the table after coming to the "land of opportunity" (hence the immigration scene). A forum user named Arkoftruth also accused Hippojuice of cheating and also insulted the female members of their group by calling them "manly" (hence the manly chicks line). It was later by Hippojuice that an associate of theirs was cheating the system (I still call BS on that, but this movie is so damn good, all is forgiven).

One more question, what music was used in this?

Avatarhippojuicefilm
Reviewed on October 19th, 2009

It was some generic garageband loop, it's called "bow and arrow long". Thank you for catching everyone up to speed.

Even the epic movie trailer music was in Garageband?

Thanks Bryan Fox! Wow that cleared up a lot. Haha I would get super pissed if I was around while that happened. Oh well, I'm happy everything got forgiven :D

I think the effects are the best and worst part of the video. Much of the green screen work is very visually interesting, but some of the effects, especially the shaking hinders your storytelling. The tripod fight, for instance, is completely masked by the shake effect. And three effects on the text - the spin, shake, and fog - seem like much. At times the effects really sell the feel you're going for, but make sure you're always making your technical decisions serve a creative purpose.

I've been away, so I've missed the entire Bryan Fox / Hippojuice feud, so the story was lost on me, but I imagine many great inside jokes came across.

To avoid all the distorted audio in the future, obviously you could turn down your record levels, but if you think you may run into unanticipated audio spikes, if you have the capability, you can always hook up a second mic, with a lower input level, then swap audio when necessary. Unfortunately audio peaks really kill watchability for me.
