LOVE the quality of the VO as the hooded guy is speaking.

I would have put an overlay during the 'satisfied customer' portion - like put the video in a smaller box with background and something that said the vampires name or whatever. I like the voice modulation you did on him. Sounds cool. Wish the quality was as good as the hooded guy speaking though - why not use the same mic? Would have punched in a bit more light, but it's also funny that he's shrouded in so much darkness, haha.

Text and graphics are simple, but that's what it needed. I love the font you used. Feels very much like this sort of thing. Rockin' !! I give this a B+ !

I was going for the sleazy mid-day advertisement feel. For the hooded guy, all I did was speed up my own voice to 120%. The hooded guy was easy to dub since you didn't see his mouth, but with the vampire, I was afraid of all the "dubbing criticism" I got before in previous movies. I agree the vamp should have been better lit. My lighting on "Special Delivery" still remains the best since I actually drug around a TV and dialed in the settings while looking at the TV before I shot.

I think since the vampire wasn't lit very well, you could have totally got away with dubbing the voice! Anyway, it's not like his voice was hard to hear so it's no big deal

I enjoyed this a lot in concept, but I wish the jokes hit a little better. I didn't mind the vampire not being lit very well, I had thought it was intentional, as he makes a laugh about his boss asking him to work during the day.

really think you could have done more with this than just one shot of a guy talking and the concept wasn't that funny to begin with. i assume the overlay graphics were deliberately cheesy? also nobody except wingnuts give a shit about who ACORN is!!

If you read the other posts, you'd see that yes, the lame graphics were intentional to imitate sleazy daytime TV ads. This movie was absolutely made for the maniacs on both sides of the aisle. Thank you for realizing that.

Well, I think this was a pretty decent idea. My main beef was the VO and the guy talking. The voice in the VO sounded just like the guy that usually talked over the blue screen with the price and shipping at the end of an "As Seen On TV" style commercial. You don't really ever see that guy, though. I would have liked it better if you either just captured the live audio of this covered guy, or just cut him out all together and had other things during that part. I have no suggestions as to what those other things might have been. I also don't understand why his head is covered. Is that an ACORN reference that I don't get? I am admittedly don't know much about ACORN. The white balance and lighting seemed to be a little off on this part, too. The vampire at the end was hard to see, but I am guessing that could have been partially from the conversion when uploading. I know the compression really did a number on my last submission. I could still see him, so that is forgivable. I liked the cheesy CASHEW graphic and I thought the acronym was pretty clever. Definitely fit the criteria and was a topical parody of current events. I have noticed a trend in your movies of you using VOs. Do you just have a really bad camera mic and don't want to use the audio from your takes? Sorry if my review seems harsh. Then again, I guess it's better than just saying I didn't like it without offering any reasons why and moving on.

The onboard camera mic was used for the vampire interview part and as you can hear, it's not that great. The reason the minion at the beginning was covered was because I played him as well.

good idea but just didnt keep my attention. I think b/c it was a tv ad with a host who had a sheet covering his head. If 3/4th of the video is a still shot of a guy talking, spend more time on his outfit, maybe glue on goofy looking eyes and a mouth?

The original idea was for me to dress in a suit and do the ad like a used car salesman and have someone else play the vampire (in the end, both were played by me because I couldn't find anyone). Because one of them had to have their face concealed, I decided to have the main announcer be some kind of a cloaked minion.

Ah shit, I didn't get it. I'm sorry. I have the attention span of a three year old.

Wow I am really impressed with how the last two (you and SF) used all 30 seconds - like a sylablle spoken at the very last second. I LOVE what cashew stands for -- that is creative.

Your audio came off flawless. Good use of the screen to convey the message. Lighting coulda been a bit better on the vampire... then again vampires can't see light. You coulda put more time in desiging the CASHEW lable -- but really lol - it's prolly meant to be cheesy.

that is it. Thank you for taking the time to put the review shows together bryan -- that is really cool.
