First time seeing you guys. I LOVE IT! Your audio quality could have been better / louder. Great setup in the room. Your actors are good in this. The camera jiggle on "WHAAAT!!" is PERFECT! Feels like an effect right out of District 9. Where is that stock bloody goo from? Freaking FUNNY ending. I think people are going to welcome you here with open arms ... at least until you beat 'em, haha.

Overall I give this an A- !!!

Thanks a ton for the support man. I can't tell you how awesome this site is. I'm glad you thought the acting was good because its actually me and Phil the other member of our team, we're super low budget haha. Video copilot has an awesome set of action elements like blood, fire, explosions etc. Thanks a ton for support and I already can't wait to do another one.

Shooting in a living room often creates some awfully boring images, but your shot composition, lighting (right?), and I'm assuming color/contrast correction produced beautiful stuff (plus it helps that the room isn't eggshell).

The only part of this video that doesn't match the quality is the audio, which sounds distant. Was that the onboard camera mic? Do you have a way to get a mic closer?

That exploding body effect is awesome, and is integrated seamlessly into the real environment. For that shot, did you use motion tracking, or did you shoot on a tripod and simulate the handheld camera in the editing (to match the effect to the shot movement)?

Hey man. Thanks for watching! This is our first fight and we did the shoot real short notice, so we didnt have time to rent mics and lights. I agree that the sound is terrible haha and yes we did use an onboard. I used some color correction in after effects to get the orange and yellow to really pop. We did shoot on a tripod and added the camera wiggle after. Thanks again for the input, this site is awesome....until I get my first, "hate review" haha.

Even if you sound is awful, it's too bad you didn't do any ADR - there weren't too many lines and it woudn't have been too tricky. Understand it sounds like a last second kinda thing.

I always find that if I'm dealing with audio issues, I get one take shot very close to my actors so at least I can dub in the good audio later. That's what I did with our sometimes funny "VAIDS" entry and it actually worked out great.

I really like this video! It really sets the mood for Thanksgiving in a funny way! That ending effect was incredible! Nice job! You got my vote!

Great flick guys

First of all I had to crank my speakers to hear the lines. But the movie looked awesome. The end was brutal! Is this the first movie you have submitted?

Keep making movies guys, I wish you the best of luck.

Actors are right on cue. The guy with the magazine comes off as a complete natural. THe handheld camera along with the guitar music almost reminds me of an Arrested Development type feel. I really wish the guy would have emerged from the doorway instead of hiding behind the crepe paper. Nice prep work and decorations man!! I especially liked the end effect.

Your lighting is the only thing that bugged me.... seems a little too dark and bluish -- but maybe you were going for that. Overall great entry.

Hey there. Thanks for the input. We did do the bluish look on purpose because it helped the orange and yellow for the decoration pop a little better, but I will admit it wasn't lit well in the first place. 10 bucks at Iparty really did the trick for the decoration too. Thanks again for watching.

HA! Freaking awesome. I have yet to look, but are you guys first timers? It's always nice to see a group I am not familiar with and then be blown away with the quality of their movie. That splatter/exploding - whatever you call it effect at the end was really impressive. Aside from the splattering and stuff hitting the camera, it really looked like chunks of flesh were left laying around the room afterwards. Great job. The audio levels seemed to be a little lower than the rest of the movies. I had to turn it up quite a bit. Other than that, everything was technically spot on. Lights, white balance. very clean video. I really look forward to seeing you guys in a longer filmfight.

Thanks man. We found about this fight real last minute so we ended up writing, shooting and editing in 2 days. This wasn't enough time to get lights and mics so we just dealt with what we had at the time. I love that other production people are watching these because they notice the subtle things. Thanks again man.

Wow, this was definitely one of the funniest things that I have seen in a long time. Complete random turn sideways. Awesome comedy, pro.

Well shot, good pace and the acting isn't bad. The ending is very funny - and overall it's a good little film. Well done. The FX for the explosion are well done. Sound design lacked a little "gross out" for me on the splat, but that's a minor point. :)
