Very tricky! I like that you used the FF intro to get a couple extra seconds, trickkkyy, haha. Also, I like that you're the DJ on the radio - the omnipresent genius. I like the shot of them getting out of the car and running.

Too bad they're not like JUST dying as they walk in - like some guy sees them and there's foam coming out of his mouth and he's like "youuurr''eeee herrreeeee!" before finally expiring. That is some fast acting poison!

Realy a GREAT concept - love the twist that you think they're going to a nice dinner party but it's actually totally fucked. Would also have been funny if they were in some kind of odd costume and you thought 'oh is this a costume party?' but it turns out to just be a cult thing.

Anyway - a great idea always sends my mind spinning into other ways of executing it. One of your better flicks, Jeremy!!!

I rate this an A-

Also I realized that you cheated and used the 5 second intro instead of the standard 3! Tisk tisk, haha.

Ha. I swear I didn't know I had a different version of the intro. It's the new one you emailed me and Rex. I have been using it since then. I will download the new one.

This was great. Completely caught me off guard at the end. Of all the endings I would have guessed I didn't see that one coming. The only thing that threw me, and it's small was when they pulled into the driveway I took it as an empty parking lot. I thought great their running late and now they've gone to the wrong place. Anyway, great job.

OK, good. So far it seems like everyone understands what happened. I was a little afraid when I was editing that I didn't get the idea across good enough. Originally there was a sign in the shot of the dead people that said "New Years Eve Mixer and Mass Suicide", but I cut it out, cause you couldn't read it good. Plus, there wasn't really time. I really wish I would have picked a better screenshot. Maybe less credits, too. Haha. Thanx for the reviews, everyone!

You can always re-upload your vid with a new screenshot, or just upload a new screen shot - no big deal.

Chris and Amanda did really great. This looks pretty good, and the sound was nice. Def. one of your better shot and edited flicks. I liked the ending, but was a littttle bit confused on what exactly happened. I might be stupid, but I've watched a couple times and still am not entirely sure. But, this shows amazing progress. Everything was spot on in production and execution. I really enjoyed it.

They were all supposed to drink poison at midnight, but these two were late. When they rushed in, all the other people were dead, cause they already drank their poison. I was kinda afraid some people might not get it.

You totally had me on board with the energy of the film from the get go. The films pacing, and really the punch line, for me got thrown off at the very last moments (the most important for this guy). You have all this energy, some good quick shots, etc etc, and then, it all sort of slows down. Their talking is still kind of fast, but after the energy of the running to the door and the counting down it seemed really weird. I think there could have been ways to show it was a mass suicide without having to have her say anything aside from "great we're too late" and then "BAM DEAD PEEEPS LOL!".

The lines afterwards "I still have the poison" etc etc, and them walking out I felt were unnecessary for the idea to really work. I dunno if you ever saw Nakedcastles stuff (back in the day) but what made those films work was just getting t the punch line and immediately cutting. I liked it though, just those last few seconds not being there I feel could have helped my enjoyment level.

I agree. The film was great up until the last moments for me. Perhaps the "5 seconds added" to the time limit for some sort of resolution is what caused this, but I think that it should have ended differently and perhaps more abruptly to add effect. All in all though, a solid entry

There was a lot of debate how to end it. All of our favorite versions were too long. I did consider ending it with him just dropping the poison after she said "we're too late". Actually, I really wanted to have her say "Great, now we missed the mother ship" and end it right there, but Mandi didn't like that idea. Haha. Thanks for the input, though, guys.

That mothership line is hilarious, you gotta go with your gut on these things man, assume your audience is going to get the joke you're trying to make, cause if they don't, fuck 'em. I think everyone feels a little inclined to assume the internet doesn't know wtf, but, especially with the film fights crowd, we do in fact know wtf.

Love this video! Phenomenal ending, that goes without saying. The acting is REALLY good. Love both actors, they did a good job of selling their lines. Especially the last few. The actress is gold with her last few lines. Great work!

As someone who gets excited about acting more than cam angles and such I must say: who in the world could say "So it's my fault? It's my fault. It's always my fault" with more charm than it is being said here?
