First off, I had to re-render your video because it was squished! Cursed squishing. It'll make the video look less clear than it should, sadly. Anyway, to the actual content, hehe.
I think it's cool to see you vary up the angles when the devil is speaking to him, instead of just having it straight-on. Love the horn effect, that really makes the whole video - you're a Moguler, I can tell :D
Also love that you faked the computer screen he's looking at so the 'mute' reads better. The devil is totally ghey. Poor little guy. I think at the end the toss of the phone could be faster, more violent - should have spend up that footage a bit. Would love to see a screen-cracking effect as well, like he shattered his monitor.
Overall I give this video a B.
Thanks a million. I would really appreciate if you sent me the settings you used to export it, i tried everything I could think of.
When I filmed the ending I did a few different things, I wasn't sure what would fit in best, and by the time I filmed this I wasn't totally "in it". The flames were a last minute thing to make him look more enraged, never thought of just speeding it up.
Thanks!
It's probably easier if you tell me what settings exactly you're using right now
I like that the devil is little and cute. :) Makes him throwing the phone in a tantrum very effective.
Nice Make up too! Good concept, and a great realization of the project.
Movie was pretty good. The effects were really cool. Story was..not bad but I think that it was too short. Acting was good too. Not a bad movie. I give 8/10
Thanks!
Writing (even coming up with ideas) is not my strong point, so when I get an idea I try and make the most of it.
Some good clean effects here. Loved the voice and the twitter comment.
this was really clever, your devil looks awesome! the picture of the devil's desk in the background looks squished vertically, but the fire in the window is nice. overall you get an A in my book! plus the twitter joke is amazing.
This was my first time shooting in widescreen and when I made up the backround I used a different aspect ratio so some stuff came out a bit funny
Thanks, I'm glad people get the joke.
it was a little hard for me to understand what "the devil" was saying but I got the gist of it. very funny! and of course the twitter comment. lol
Great movie i liked it but a few things could be changed or in my opinion could be done better.
When the sound has been turned off maybe the devil could go a bit insane because he can't speak any more.
They youtube bar, maybe it's better if it would play? Instead of just standing still.
What I had originally planned for the devil was that he would continue with some crazy violent gestures while it was muted, but timing it didn't work out.
Thanks
A truly scary devil... I also like the way this other guy calmly turns off the sound and we get to ignore the bastard who continues his speech.
It's short, it's a bit quirky and a bit weird, the costume is great, the acting is great, the effects work well, it's original, and above all it made me giggle! :D
Other than a couple of technical issues, like the focus being on the computer rather than the guy sitting at it, and the devil's voice being a bit difficult to hear over all the spooky modulation, there's not a thing I don't like about this film! Loved it! :D
Finally. This entry made me laugh, really laugh. I laughed when the devil looks at the screen. Maybe its just the way its face looks that just gets me. Really good, the phone throw at the camera looks good. I really enjoyed this.
wow, pretty good, love the concept, is the devil played by a kid...that make sit even more evil
Nice work on the devil boy. Horns, wig, robe, goatee. Nice. Does he have teeth in as well? I like your CG background. Stock, or did you make it? If you did, nice job indeed. I think we've all clicked boobs on YouTube and up popped a video saying we're going to hell. Just never a live stream from Satan's spawn.
Thats actually my hair. Yeah he has teeth in. Everything in the house was made from texture images and the flame was stock footage.
Thanks for the review.
I really liked this. Great effects. Nice topical joke (twitter). The acting was really good, ESPECIALLY the devil. Did you do a little mini-greenscreen action on the over the shoulder computer shot? I think the guy at e4h computer might have been a little out of focus in the shots from the first angle. Other than that, very technically solid, too. (really could be the compression making it blurry) Great entry, guys!
Very funny. I liked the jokes a lot. The cinematography while minimal in this was clean and everything was represented really well. The computer display was faked fantastically, and I think you synced the video up with the actions on the screen wonderfully.
The acting was great for two young people, and the devil was great.
Would have liked the ending to be a little better, have him be a little angrier (the devil looked more hurt like, "Why would you sad that.. =*("...) and have him thrown the phone harder.
Other than that, great job, really funny, really simple.
This was really awesome to watch! I loved how the Devil was played by a kid, but with that voice. It was a really clever idea and so should have won!
