The style on this is absolutely wicked. From the dramatic opening shot. To the bizarre floating cannon ... there's something that feels very surreal about this. Also, the fact that it's the same dude as every character ... it's like, what kind of crazy world is this? Feels very alien, very different. That's a magical quality that's tough to find in a lot of other films. LOVE it.
That said, I really don't have any idea what's happening here. Secret agent is double crossed ... has some kind of secret weapon he's not allowed to use ... he gets fired at the start of the film? Why the "Going to hell" card? Are they sending that to him as a sign he's going to die?
One of the more visually facinating films I've seen on the site in a while, just think we need a bit more of a coherant plot. Feel free to explain it to me if I'm getting it all wrong.
Also --- I MUST know about that floating cannon!
Your english isn't bad - but this could also be good if it was subtitled. Personally I think it could add even a great 'surreal' aspect to the films.
I give this film a C+
interesting green screen work. I like that the "hell" line is written. I never would have thought of that! Floating cannon...kinda distracting...Plot was hard to follow...i was paying to much attention to all the other wild stuff going on, I guess.
:)
Thanks for the nice comments. Justin, I think you have understood everything possible here. Redhand. The second when I came up with the idea of the flying cannon I lost my mind. Meaning, I allowed myself to get carried away and started to create a feature concept. Suddenly I came up with the blue car that also is a cannon. If you watch it again pay attention to how the window behind the blue car is created. That room is a garage for flying cannon cars... Yep, as I said, I've lost my mind.
I liked this very very much. very bizzare and pretty, though a little bit confusing. I think the accent mixed with the aweome camera angles made it really cool! lol.
It was kinda hard to follow the plot, but the shots and the scenes looked amazingly surreal and the music helped alot aswell. I like how the line was written on a card, Very good but perhaps explain the story just a little more.
i jump everytime i watch this (4 times) at the "bullet it was" part. This was strange, jaw dropping visuals how were those pulled off? u draw them? I found it hard to understand, not because of the accent, just because of the same tone everyone talked in. but don't get me wrong, it was really good.
Thanks for telling me what you like in it. Especially for liking my accent. And sorry for getting so carried away that I didn't get a proper ending to fit into the three minutes.
@Emmerek, yes it's drawn with Photoshop, so nothing more spectacular. However to get the shadows and the light right ask a bit of true painting skills.
Wow, I'm amazed this was lightweighted. Excellant cinematography! Insane effects! Very good acting. However, I think this is too surreal for me to understand. At least in how it relates to this fight. Nevertheless I'm stunned by the visuals in your film.
This was one of the weirdest entries I have seen. I enjoyed it, but, even after several viewings, I never really figured it out. Was it all the same guy, or do your actors look a lot alike? Aside from the actor(s), the whole thing looked fabricated in Photoshop or something. This made it very intriguing. What the heck was with the guy flying the canon??? At one point, I think there was a car that had a canon on the front of it, too. Haha. The dialog was a little hard to hear and understand. This was just nuts!
WOW. Holy crap. This was fantastic, you are truly an artist. The compositing, and custom backgrounds and animation is all truly fantastic.
Your cinematography is beautiful, and you integrate your elements so seemlessly into these backgrounds so they look like they fit so well.
This is very dreamlike and surreal, and I loved the visuals, and your acting was great, and really made it feel really weird (I felt like I was watching a Jeunet film a few times), and it works really well.
Besides the accolades for your visuals, the plot did indeed confuse me, but the disjointed nature of it definitely helped with the overall atmosphere, but I think it makes it inaccessible.
I think if you teamed up with a writer on a more "conventional" plot, it could be really beautiful and something that could appeal to people on more than just your obvious visual and artistic talents.
Great job, I can't see what you do next.
Dude your stuff is amazing! The sets are perfect, the audio and the voice is awesome and the music is really good! I regret not voitng for you earlier now :( do you have a youtube channel?

Hey do you have a youtube channel your videos are awesome! I don't understand why this got into the light weights instead of the heavy weights but I guess this site is kinda bi-ast when it comes to that kind of thing
