I think that creenshot alone, it going to get you a lot of views. A little misleading, pehaps. Pretty decent idea, if not a little too simple. The stuff with the kid eating the shoe was really funny. I liked the fact that you used the "EE" from this fight's example picture. Acting was pretty decent. Audio might have been a little low. Overall pretty good. This was my LW vote for sure!

*Screenshot. Can't go back and edit.

Also, I think I was mistaken about the "EE"

I think this was the most propaganda-like of the lot (lightweights AND heavyweights). The old film effect was a nice touch for the propaganda feel. This obviously wasn't the best shot or made film, but I think it should have been a HW for being the only one to really stick to the concept of the fight. And I agree with Jeremy.. that screenshot does help (would have been really cool though if you had photoshopped your evil empire's logo in there, possibly behind her). A attractive gal actually makes for a dangerous evil empire leader in my opinion (ie. Anna in "V" or Ilsa in those old Nazi grindhouse flicks). Hitler was an ugly man with mustache... imagine the damage that could be done if you paired his charisma with a pretty face. Terrible things. You have my vote.

In Justin's absence, I approved this as a LW. I was very on-the-fence about that. I figured if there was a lot of protest, I could always bump it to HW. Always easier to move someone up to HW than down to LW. I agree that it did follow the propaganda guidelines the best. Mainly my decision was do to the fact that it was all comprised really of two shots. One of the girl and one of the boy, they just kept moving back and forth. The "old film" effect I think masked some otherwise low production value. Good choice, but still didn't bring it to HW caliber...in my humble opinion.

BTW, since no one (else) mentioned it by now, it's staying LW. Too late for moving them around.

Darn. I was sure this was going to be a HeavyWeights. Oh well.

I think this could have all been done in one take, it would have been cool to have the boy and the "narriator" in the same room while the stuff happens.

Howdy! Welcome to Film Fights! I like the script in this a lot. Why don't you have any sound effects?? Seems like it's missing a layer of polish - like when the screen fritzes our there should be static sounds and her voice should alter. And really, no sound effect even for "SLAP" ?? Also you've got this projector thing going on ... but you're also using a TV static effect. Kind of odd.

For this one, I'd say, need a lot of audio work - LOVED the script on this, don't get me wrong - this is a very good idea, but a bit lacking in execution needed to make it a HW entry. Hope this review helped!

I give this a C rating

I think this is a prime example of how good sound design can really make a video. The script is great, and this is probably the most 'Propaganda'-ish submission out of all of them. The hostess is well spoken and confident, but the cutaways seem to slow down the pace because they have no sound whatsoever. It's very possible that your editing program dosen't allow precise sound design, and in that case I would recommend you download Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/), then play the video without sound and preform the sound effects live, in time with the video. It might take a few tries, but Foley is a good skill to have anyways. Most people use the same resources for sound fx, if you learn to make your own it will give your video a unique feel in people's minds and help bring them into the 'world' that you're trying to create. Combine that with some sweet, simple background music and you have great sound design.

And I said video 4 times, sorry.

I liked this, good job at fitting this funny little skit into such a small amount.

Felt like it ended a little suddenly though, maybe some sharper editing and faster delivery would have allowed you to end it a little more cleanly.

Good job though, it was fun.
