This has a definite noir feel to it. Good harsh lighting and the VO. Cool use of shadows. Nice ending! I liked this one. The lighting when the guy was on the couch was great. The shots were varied and the story moved along nicely.

Mad props for the great lighting. Some shots were a little shakey, but overall nicely done. However I was disappointed in the ending. With all the knife stabbings, choking, decapitation, and the overall hype of the final showdown, I thought a bomb was pretty weak for somebody who killed your girlfriend. I was hoping for something really harsh, as that is where i felt the film was going towards. I loved the night sky in the last shot. Not sure how you did that. Good job!

i liked the head in the box.
but DAMNNNN
the pacing of this film was sooooo slow. You could have done this whole thing in 2 minutes, and made a better film.
the ending was a little weird looking. well, at least it had a story line.

Great film! Some wonderfully lit shots, a nice mix of Max Payne and Sin City. The gunshot window scene was particularily notable.

Hah, wait a second this IS Sin City!

The first half moves along very well. Once it hits the mid point however it seems to stall out a bit. The narration may slow down or something like that.

All the shadowy shots are excellent - I like the fake sky at the end as well, and the music fits wonderfully. A terrific entry, hope to see more from you guys!!

Definitely a Sin City / Frank Miller vibe here. Really enjoyed the shot of the woman and the gun, great work. Only things that took me out of the reality of your film was first, the suitcase. You might have been able to find something else besides a luggage suitacase to haul a bomb in. Also, the ending was interesting, and I know you can\'t actually show a car blowing up, but maybe instead of the fade into the night you might have just cut away and left us wondering. Overall, a great entry for film noir, good job.

The shot with the railing was getting old. Lets see if I am getting the story right. Rosie was murdered. Then we head in to a classic dark tale about revenge. He kills a few fuckers that were involved. Then we finish with a big bang with the guy who fired the shot into little rosie\'s head. The shadow work was interesting. The end is the only part that is bothering me. We end on a bang. What about the main character? Is he all better now that he killed the bitch? The shot composition needs work. Your shots looked cluttered and made me feel uncomfortable.

As always, your love Kevin Mosley

I enjoyed how the voiceover paced pretty well (In my mind)

and I REALLY liked the cinematography in this film, from the shadow scenes, to the knife dripping with blood, etc.

impressive indeed.

WOW! killer! no pun intended. great narrative, great use of lighting. the hard contrasts were very eye friendly. the best part were the use of shadows. narrative was well executed, but parts felt a little long winded. overall EXCELLENT!

You did a great job with this. You use some very innovative techniques to keep from showing faces. I love the shadows, the camera angles from above, the woman through the window. You succeed in preventing the voice over from being cheezy, and the blood, too. Just minimalist enough. Music really works. I actually like how you panned to the sky at the end to avoid having to show an explosion--I think it works. The only critique I would have is that (as I\'m sure you are aware) there\'s absolutely nothing new about the story--this piece is all about the technique.

Suh-WEET! Best movie this week (i thought) BY FAR! I loved the shots - and the use of an actual Voice Over. The shooting scene was great... I almost got sick with the cut up face in the box.. that was pretty nasty. My favorite shot by far was the rack focus to the blood dripping off the knife. This did NOT FEEL like five minutes. The voice over was well performed too.. good mood set. I also liked the text graphics used.... also i liked the music.

you got my vote.
