The sunglasses shot is AWESOME. Great music on this as well. Love the drum hits. Love those crazy slippers. I would actually have suggested that you get some more shots of the slippers. Video looks crip and good. Thought this was a very very solid entry.
THe monumental music truly makes this over the top. Good editing to the music as well! I love the glistening in the eye of the kid on the bike.
I feel like there could have been a lot more done with this, like it was kind of anti-climactic, but your shots were really awesome. Like it was said before, the sunglasses shot was pretty nifty.
yeah. It was somewhat intended to be anticlimatic. Ironically, the "kid" on the bike is actually 24. We made him look youngish.
Good concept. I like that nothing really happens, he just goes out and catches the paper. Which this character probably does every morning, and things he's all bad ass doin' it with his bear slippers and shades on. He's just takin' care of business. Not in love with the shot selection, its a little disorienting, not really sure where we are. Like the last shot a lot though.
This manages to impress me a lot. Cool control and incredible presence. I'm not laughing as watching this, I nod.
Those are some crazy ass slippers! Nice composition, and interesting concept. I felt some of the others were a lot more "over the top," however.
I enjoyed this short! Though I had some issues with the dark color correction. Also, the weird slippers threw me off, I wasn't sure if they were going to play a part in the short because they are so out there.
Excellent choice of music! Really well put together!
The only flaw I could see was that the close up on the news paper boy was very soft (not a big deal) But the biggest thing is that you changed the angles too much and broke the 180 line, making it a little confusing. Initially the man leaving his house seems to be crossing towards camera right. And the news paper boy is crossing the same way. It made it a little confusing when in the next cut the guy is looking camera right and the newspaper boys eyes are camera left. Gah I sound like a film professor or something, but make sure you stick to a line and for the angles on the actors about the same.
I still enjoyed the concept and intensity of it. Oh and awesome job on the timing! You're exactly at 30 seconds :D
Good job making a not exciting thing seem exciting. Video quality was great. Liked the coordination of the "catch" and other shots. Nice slippers. Music fit, but seems stolen. Did not like the diagonal split image you chose for your screen shot.
what i like is the man taking his trash out looks like he is on a mission(good acting) if i ever made a mini movie i would want to talk to him. The best two seens is when he puts on his glasses and dodges the paper like its nothing. Great backround audio wich didnt effect the actual sound of the environment which is good. good seen transitioning, dont really see anything wrong I could use some advise from these guys.
