Effing Awesome is right James! Loved the bouncer and the driving shot! Thanks for bringing me to this site. A few of my LA buddies and I are going to compete in one of the upcoming fights!

I thought this was really good. you have a good quality picture with a range of shots and a very inventive plot where there IS A PLAN!!!!!!!!!! which i think is key. F,ing awsome!

Great plot, great camera work, great cast of 'characters', and some tight post production. "Pumpkin's Night Out" is a ton-o-fun.

Hello! This is our film! We had loads of fun shooting it last Saturday. A BIG thank you to Brian Kelly for making the original music track. He plays the character of "Tony". I can't wait to sit down and review all the other submissions! Thanks for watching!

Speaking of the music, what was the song that played during the montage (that was excellent by the way)?

Loved-
The quality. Excellent work, the montage felt like it was pulled from a studio released film, or a big budget music video. This defines polish.

The acting was great. And the masks had a lot of personality. The pinata especially. Very clever.

The audio mix was top notch. Mixed very well, and the soundtrack was rocking.

This has cool written all over it. I'm loving all of the talent around here lately.

Critiques-
Not much to say.

My only critique would be that you guys rocked it so hard, thus making it harder for everyone else to win. lol.

Awesome work guys.

Beautiful cinematography, seriously, this could easily have been a clip from a studio picture or music video. The audio was top notch which is great because that's commonly overlooked. Everything was very solid, nice work guys. What camera were you using?

This was really good, the shot with the head out the car window was great and this seemed like it could have been a montage scene in a movie. Very Nice.

LOVE IT. Such a strong entry. It's wacky and funny, tons of locations, tells a good story while still being POV and still being interesting. Shot composition is great as well, like that you were able to achieve that with POV. Love the POV-montage. Solid, solid, solid.

Liked the beginning, was gripped by the simple story right away. Love the colors and complete randomness of the pinata heads. NICE MIRROR SHOT. Love the bouncers reaction and decision to let his boy, pumpkin, in. The "partying montage" LOOKS good (must have been either very fun to film, or stressfully annoying) and it's fun, but I was forgetting that it's POV from pumpkin head, just seemed like shots of the bunny dancing. Should have come up with more clever POV moments for the pumpkin. HAHA love the shot of the bunnyhead out the window with pieces from his face flying back. Everything on location, which is awesome, and LOOKS great. But yeah I think it needed more pumpkin POV, and just a bit more story would be nice.

I have nothing to say about this except I absolutely love it. I lost it when the bouncer said, "Pumpkinnn! What's going on brother!" Great job.

WOW, Beautiful! This is my favorite for this fight, loved the cinematography and editing on this. The story was ridiculously awesome.
Great locations too, liked the orange vignette touch.
I'd love to know what camera and glass this is shot on, looks like a DSLR?

AvatarJames Dierx
Reviewed on April 9th, 2010

Thank you Oetam! It was shot on the Canon 7D with a Tokina 11-16mm lens. The ISO was usually around 1280 or higher since we used only natural lighting.
